The accommodation is set entirely over the ground floor, and includes a double bedroom, two twin rooms, two bathrooms, a fitted kitchen and a cosy sitting room with a woodburning stove. The local beach can be accessed directly from the cottage from a trail which passes over the owners land, and is also within reassuringly easy reach of amenities in Maugherow, Sligo and Donegal, allowing visitors to enjoy a rural retreat without being too isolated.

The Western Ireland region

The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

The townland of Ardtermon in County Sligo sits beside the sea and Raghley, and makes a wonderful coastal base for exploring this part of Ireland. For those who don't wish to stray too far there's golf courses, horse riding, coastal and countryside walks and fishing in both fresh and salt water. The village has shops and pubs, some of which offer traditional Irish music. For more amenities, including the Hawkswell Theatre, head into Sligo town.
