Home description
With its striking open plan sitting room/dining room and kitchen on the 1st floor, the Granary at Fferm Bryn Melyn Farm offers luxurious accommodation in beautiful surroundings in the Upper Dee Valley.Using a comfortable mix of traditional and modern, the interior design of this propery certainly has a 'wow' factor.I have spent much time ensuring that everything that will make your holiday special, is here for you in Y Granar, from the dishwasher and washing machine to the fridge freezer, microwave, ceramic hob and electric over, from the Satellite TV to the DVD player and CD/Radio, and in your bedroom and bathroom, fabulous bedlinen and towels for your use and complimentary bathroom toiletries.
The oak beams are a particular feature of this barn cottage as is the sunlight that floods into the glorious sitting room. There is a small balcony off this sitting room where one can enjoy the wonderful views. The romantic bedroom with its King Size bed and adjoining bathroom with separate shower are on the ground floor together with a hallway and door onto the courtyard. As a very amateur photographer, it has been difficult to capture the true effect of this wonderful holiday cottage. If you would like, the sofa bed in the sitting room can be used so that the cottage accommodates 4 people.
Whether you choose to have an activity filled holiday, or just to hide away in this area of outstanding beauty and tranquillity, its all here for you at Bryn Melyn Farm.
There is private fishing on the River Dee within a short walk of the farm, abundant walks in the immediate area, a playroom with table tennis, pool, snooker, table football and darts, and a tennis court on site, a fabulous communal garden with panoramic views over the Dee Valley, which you can admire at your leisure from the garden furniture provided.A barbecue can also be provided. If a relaxing holiday is what you need, there is no need to move from the farm - just feast your eyes on the incredible scenery and be transported!

For the birdwatchers amongst you, this is the ideal venue. We have a huge variety of birds to include owls which you can hear as they call to one another at night, the hypnotic call of the buzzards as they fly above the farm, and nesting in the courtyard this year 2009, we have had a redstart, a very rare and shy bird, which only goes to show what a peaceful location it is! Daily, there is an enormous variety of birds jostling for supremacy. We have a particularly well fed robin redbreast who enjoys any food left out for him on the maintenance shed! Some of our keen birdwatching guests have also enjoyed a day out to Lake Vyrnwy and its excellent birdwatching facility.
