We were a group of 16 for 3 days and then 8 for 4 days. A family gathering with 8 adults & 8 teenagers. Mainly to celebrate a 5oth birthday and get together. Eirian (owner) is very nice and v v helpful. She had put in some Xmas decor and a tree. The house is in a very scenic area and extremely comfortable and well equipped. The garden is beautiful and the games room a real bonus. I would suggest summer would be best as lovely to sit out in garden, play tennis and so much to do around the area in good weather. We were very unlucky due to lots of rain but still had pretty good time. Mostly cooked drank and relaxed and had some very nice walks locally. Only got 2/3 of way up Snowdon as SO wet!!! House is ideal for 10/12 guests max I would say as only 2 bathrooms...bit of a queue for 16. Rooms are not huge but beds very comfortable and house v warm in winter with aga and ingle fire. Very nice stylish/contemporary decor while still maintaining trad feel....We all had a lovely gathering! Would recommend. |

In June this year, myself and twenty of my friends travelled up from busy London to Bryn Melyn Farm for my birthday. We occupied almost the entire property for the whole weekend, and what a stunning place it is. All of the cottages where my friends stayed were immaculately decorated, comfortable and just fantastic! As for the farmhouse, that too was stunning with some lovely original features and wonderful extras that most of us can't enjoy at home, such as the aga in the kitchen. The farmhouse offers incredible views over the valleys and garden from the rear, where you can sit and enjoy dinner and drinks, or rock on the wooden swing and enjoy the scenery. We, however, relaxed in two fabulous hot tubs that Eirian organized for us! Just amazing! There is a lot to do at Bryn Melyn.. A full size tennis court, football goals for the kids/men, an activity center down the road, a brilliant local pub, and a short drive away there is a picturesque village with a lake to walk around, and shops where you can pick up your groceries. A little closer to home, you can turn left or right out of Bryn Melyn (or up or down for that matter!) and go on a long walk to take in north Wales' countryside. I can't recommend Bryn Melyn enough! Thank you so much to Eirian for her kind, warm and helpful nature - we will be back. |

We went as a group of researchers wanting somewhere to share ideas and enjoy the countryside. This was exactly what we were after. Great accommodation in a lovely farmhouse. Great for a big group. The cottages next door give room for extra guests. |
Guestbook for Fferm Bryn Melyn Farm
I was organising a friends holiday and by sheer good luck I came across Fferm Bryn Melyn Farm.
There were 12 of us in total including a toddler and 2 very young babies all of which was no trouble to Eirian
when arranging the booking. We stayed for a long weekend in this idyllic setting in the amazing converted farmhouse. we were completely blown away when we arrived and viewed the accommodation.
The house was immaculate and furnished to a very high standard- the gardens, the tennis court and other amenities were excellent and an added bonus. Helped by good British weather, it turned out to be one of the best weekends away we have had, in fact it was so lovely we didn't want to leave the house all weekend.
Eirian arranged for gas for a last minute BBQ and also put us in contact with someone who came to the house and trated the ladies to an afternoon of pampering - which was great.
I am not surprised by the National Tourism Award, it truly is an amazing place with a very friendly and accommodating host who made us all very welcome whilst leaving us to get on with enjoying the house and facilities without interruption.

We stayed at Bryn Melyn Farm in the Farmhouse all 12 of us at the end of June 2010. It was for a special occasion, my sister's 40th birthday.
Right from when I sent the enquiry and the dates required I was confident I had booked the right place for our family gathering.
The Farmhouse and its surrounding area is outstanding. The best quality linen and accessories throughout the Farmhouse make it a very luxurious accommodation but at the same time we all felt very comfortable and at home. The gardens and tennis court and of course the games room were very much enjoyed by adults as well as the children.
