"Relaxing break"

Enjoyed 3 nights away in this lovely converted barn. Welcome pack on arrival was a very thoughtful gesture. The location was great, 15 mins walk to the village and lake. Cafes and pubs in the villa… More

"A lovely quiet spot with beautiful views"

"Spacious but musty and not very clean"

Extremely hard to find, no signs, lots of cobwebs and dust, but spacious with lovely views, parking, was advertised with washing machine and DVD player but both were missing, was important as my son w… More

Very saddened to hear that you were disappointed with Sgubor Bach. We do pride ourselves with cleanliness, unfortunately as it is set in rural surroundings and is a 18 C building, keeping spiders away is a problem. Regarding the DVD and washing machine, I am sure that I enquired if everything was fine with the apartment? and at no time was the DVD or Washing machine mentioned. If this had been the case, I would have shown you where they were.
Thank you for the positive comments.

"Spacious and clean and a great location"

This is a lovely cottage and has a really open and homely feel about it, you just settle in instantly. The location was perfect for me, nice and rural and away from everything yet the village centre is just a 10 minute walk away with nice pubs and shops. The cottage is up a hill so when you look out you have some amazing views, the downside to this is that the walk back home is uphill but we walked that hill quite a few times with arms full of shopping and it was pretty easy going. The owner is lovely and gives you loads of tips to help you get the most out of your stay and in the cottage you have access to OS maps, leaflets for the watersports on the lake etc. It was our first time at Bala so this was really helpful for us. I would definitely stay again.

Oh and there is plenty storage space for bikes and outdoor stuff on the ground floor of the cottage, which was helpful.

Thank you for your kind comments. Dewi
