Tyn-y-fron Holiday Cottage on the Edge of Snowdonia.
Tyn-y-fron is a place to remember and return to.
A cosy and sympathetic Barn Conversion with views over the Dee Valley and the hills beyond.
Set above the River Dee in the Vale of Ederynion, the eastern gateway to Snowdonia National Park, this little cottage, comfortably furnished, has been converted from an ancient barn to a quiet and warm retreat to unwind from the world.
Everything you could wish for. Cosy, warm and welcoming. Internet Access
Lovely lounge with wonderful outlook over the distant mountains and amazingly quiet.
Television with INTEGRAL DVD. TV receives most freeview channels
Radio and CD player
Fully equipped modern galley kitchen and bathroom.
Access to bedroom by spiral stairs.
From the roof light in the bedroom you can see for miles into the valley and the hills beyond.
However you like it. It doesn't really matter what you like to do on your holidays.
Tyn-y-fron wraps itself around you like a warm blanket and lets you be yourself.
Laze away your days with a bottle of wine either on the sheltered veranda or tucked up by the lounge window losing yourself in the view.
Watch the mountains, the sheep, the sky. Feel the silence.
Maybe you prefer to put on your boots and walk the amazing hills, or go sailing on Bala Lake, or maybe white water rafting just for the fun of it. Or hire a mountain bike and see how fit you are. Maybe walk your dogs along the lakeside.
Some people bring their instruments and play away the week. After all there is no-one for you to disturb. Some catch up on the books they have been promising themselves for ever.
It doesn't matter what you do, Tyn-y-fron will look after you when you are at rest and welcome you back after a days adventure.
Our visitor book is testimony to the magic that this little cottage seems to have.
We have had engagements here, marriages, honeymoons, birthdays and even first baby announcements. On one memorable occasion we nearly had the first baby!!!
Come to Tyn-y-fron and share the magic. We can guarantee that you will want to return.

"Peaceful, comfortable barn - with wonderful views."
Beautifully situated, easy to find - short journey to pubs/restaurants/walks. Perfect location. Accommodation comfortable and perfectly adequate, all the things you'd expect; good sized bathroom,… More
Thank you for your good review.
Sorry about the towels but you are the first people to comment and everyone else seems very happy with them.
Also sorry you didn't find the cleanliness of the bsthroom satisfactory.
First person to complain about that too! We think our little cottage is spotless and we know, from the visitors book that people just love it... and of course from the other reviews. Glad that you feel you could recommend a friend despite our shortcomings.

"beautiful scenic peaceful location, cosy warm cottage, great owners of the cootage"
Dee and Peter were friendly and most warmly hosts. Our stay was short but oh so warmly and peaceful. We would definitely book again but for a week at least. Could not be faulted in any way.
