Thornbridge Manor House has been refurbished to an incredibly high standard with a mix of traditional features and contemporary style. The dining room is big enough for everyone to dine together and the living space has cosy open fires and lots of space to relax together.

Converted to a high standard with sumptuous decor, beautiful fixtures and fittings and a stunning garden setting, you can enjoy the grounds, play croquet on the lawn or a game of tennis on your own court. If you want to venture out to see the surrounding area Thornbirdge Manor is just a short walk to the pretty villages of Great Longstone, Little Longstone and the picture postcard village of Ashford in the Water all having not just one but a selection of heart-warmingly traditional pubs. This includes the infamous Pack Horse in Little Longstone, The White Lion in Great Longstone, and the Monsal Head Hotel with the fabulous traditional Stable Bar and fantastic outside seating area looking north westerly down into Monsal Dale.

With lots of places to visit nearby including wandering around the magnificant Chatsworth House (10 minutes drive) and gardens to afternoon tea at Hassop Hall not to mention that Thornbridge Manor is next to the Monsal Trail which leads directly to some of the finest walking The Peaks has to offer from right outside the door. Outdoor pursuits are also popular and we can recommend a multitude of activities.

Thornbridge Manor has beautiful secluded lawned gardens for your private use. There is a large patio with outdoor seating and bbq. The lawn are is perfect for a game of croquet and there is a tennis court for your private use. There is plenty of secure parking. The garden runs alongside The Monsal Trail with two points of access from just outside the grounds.

The Heart of England/Peak District

The rich diversity of the scenery has been attracting visitors to Derbyshire and the Peak District for many centuries, so much so that The Peak National Park is the second most visited Park in the World. But, it is not just for not just for the beauty of its landscapes that people come.

There are many treasures to be found in the area the grandest of which is Chatsworth House, set in beautiful parkland it attracts visitors from all over the world.

Theme parks that provide enough excitement even for the most ardent fun seeker, show caverns, an owl and otter sanctuary, interesting museums and ancient castles are just a small part of the regions attractions.

The Peak District offers enchanting villages, historic towns such as Buxton, Ashbourne and Bakewell and glorious ever changing landscapes are all close by. Perhaps best known as walking country, the Peak District National Park offers a spectacular variety of scenery and routes to be explored – from steep sided limestone dales to the dramatic high moorlands. There is something for everyone – individuals, families and groups – whether you want a challenging hike or a short stroll

Bakewell

Thornbridge Manor has some of the finest walking The Peaks has to offer from right outside the door, including being situated right beside walk the Monsal Trail with access to the recently opened tunnels of the Monsal Trail. This former railway line runs all the way from Bakewell to Buxton, a very popular trail for walkers and cyclists of all ages.

Thornbridge Manor is also just a short walk to the pretty villages of Great Longstone, Little Longstone and the picture postcard village of Ashford in the Water. Incredibly accessible to main Peak attractions, it is only a 5 minute drive to the famous market town of Bakewell, 10 minute drive to the awe inspiring Chatsworth House and Estate and 15 minute drive to the historic spa town of Buxton. Thornbridge Manor also has an enviable location when it comes to being in walking distance from not just one but a selection of really good, heart-warmingly traditional pubs. This includes the infamous Pack Horse in Little Longstone and The White Lion of Great Longstone.
