It's easy to get around with a good network of roads and excellent public transport. There are many places of interest including some lovely towns and villages such as Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne as well as historical attractions like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. To the north of the region is the High Peak, with miles of heather moorland and great country walks and cycling.
Famous for being the home of the Bakewell Pudding, the lovely old market town of Bakewell is situated in the Peak District National Park and boasts a number of interesting visitor attractions.
