Home description

The cottage is situated at the end of a quiet country lane with views over the surrounding fields and nearby forest and stands within its own grounds. The cottage has two bedrooms on the first floor, one double, one twin, each accessed by its own staircase. Downstairs there is a large fully fitted kitchen with wood burner, spacious lounge featuring beams and original working fireplace and bathroom with bath and shower attachment. A French door leads out from the lounge to the patio and private garden.

The Normandy / Orne region

L’Etre Bidault is ideally situated on the edge of the Foret d’Andaines with forest walks and cycling possible directly from the cottage. A short drive will enable you to explore the historic town of Domfront to the west or the famous spa town of Bagnoles de l’Orne to the east, which has sports facilities, thermal baths, restaurants and casino. The area offers a diverse selection of activities of interest to all age groups. These include visiting castles, museums or the casino, to more active pursuits such as canoeing, fishing or horse riding.



Bagnoles de l'Orne / Champsecret area

The nearest village is Champsecret, 2km away. This has a post office, bar, small restaurant, baker's and butcher's shop and grocery shop. There are also tennis courts and a small lake for fishing. Bagnoles de l'Orne is about 10 km away. It is a chic spa town built around a lake in the Andaines forest. It provides opportunities for many sports activities as well as shopping and sightseeing.
