Il Fienile is on the outskirts of the Bagni di Lucca village of Guzzano, set in acres of olive groves with stunning views. It's location makes it ideal for those wanting to explore as you can easily visit the nearby cities of Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena & the famous coastal villages of the Cinque Terre.
You can enjoy walking, cycling or horse riding in the surrounding hills. If you want a complete relaxing holiday the gardens are tranquil & come complete with loungers for sunbathing as well as an area with stone BBQ, table & chairs ideal for al fresco eating. The owners can also offer day trips from walking, wine-tasting to an Italian cooking Mamma for those wanting a true taste of Tuscany. Golfers can golf at the nearby 18 hole courses of Monte Catini or Versilia. In Winter you can ski in the resorts of Abetone, Monte Cimone or Cutigliano.
Shopping in the local area you can find everything from designer labels to local produce & markets. Alternatively, you can relax & pamper yourself at one of the thermal spa centres. Il Fienile is a piece of Tuscan heaven & its location makes it ideal all year round for small family groups & couples.

Il Fienile (the hayloft) is fully central heated & on one level making it great for families with small children or those with restricted mobility it has been furnished as a luxury holiday rental so no expense has been spared on the furniture, fixtures & fittings.
The property is entered through a chestnut wooden stable door, where you will find a beautiful open plan dining, kitchen & living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave oven, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer, oven & hob as well as spice rack, garden herbs & a complimentary wine rack filled with Italian wines for you to enjoy during your stay. The living area has 2 large comfy leather & fabric sofas, rustic furnishings, TV, DVD, music stereo, large selection of books, DVD's & games for all ages. For families with young children a toy box will also be included. For winter guests it also has a lovely antique cast iron log burning fire, ideal for keeping you extra warm on chilly winter evenings ideal for roasting those autumn chestnuts. The huge chestnut wood windows look out onto the surrounding countryside dotted with quaint villages these are some of the most stunnning far reaching views in the area.
The bathroom is fully tiled with a modern bathroom suite complete with toilet, sink, bath with overhead shower, mirror plug points & storage.
Bedroom 1 can be dressed with either 2 single beds or 1 double bed & includes bedside cabinets, fitted wardrobe, dressing table, mirror & hairdryer (if a cot is required this can be placed in this room in place of a single bed). It's large french windows and internal shutters made of chestnut wood lead to its Juliet balcony.
Bedroom 2 - is the double bedroom complete with bedside cabinets, wardrobe, dressing table, mirror, large windows & internal shutters made of chestnut wood have far reaching views.

Outside the property is the private parking area for Il Fienile. The property is accessed via a ramp with handrail as oppose to stairs through a secure gated patio garden making it ideal for families with young children & guests with limited mobility.
The first of the 2 garden areas is set right outside the front of the property. This is a lovely walled gated garden patio which contains outside dining table & chairs making this area ideal for al fresco eating.The BBQ area is set near this garden within 2 herb gardens filled with fresh herbs for guests to use when cooking, it also contains a tiled worktop area for cooking along side a stone built charcoal BBQ and comes complete with storage & cooking utensils.
The second garden is at the side of the property accessed by a flight of wooden stairs, it is on one level & the garden looks out onto the olive grove. Here you will find the above ground 6m x 4m swimming pool and the garden also contains 4 sun loungers, parasol, table & chairs & a box of outdoor toys for small children.

directly via public transport from the Villa or alternatively drive.
2. Worth a visit are the beautiful towns of BARGA & CASTLENUOVO DI GARFAGNANA. Set amongst stunning
scenery, enjoy walking, cycling or visiting the many castles & monastries as well as their great weekly
markets.
3. WINE TASTING & OLIVE OIL TASTING Antonio & Joanna the owners can organise these trips all year round for clients. Our day trips include visiting local vineyards, dining in rustic Tuscan trattorias and visiting the large historic Lucca villas. Please contact us for further information.
4. The VERSILIAN COAST is fantastic all year round. Wide sandy beaches & warm shallow waters make it
ideal for families. Here you will also find children's play areas every 150 metres along the beach, which are
great fun for the younger kids. Wonderful outdoor swimming pools are also available along the beach front.
5. CARNIVALE TIME! - Make your Spring break one to remember by bringing your dressing up outfits & joining
in the party atmosphere at the 3rd largest carnival in the world. There is good public transport direct to the
carnival & back during the Carnivale season.
6. MUSIC & OPERA - Our location is the birthplace of Puccini. Visit the house where he was born, see where he
wrote the last arias of the Turandot right here in Bagni di Lucca. Experience one of the many operas, music
festivals in and around Bagni di Lucca as well as perhaps taking an evenings opera on the lake of "Torre del
Lago"

2. SPA POOLS - Our clients always mention to us the great days out they have enjoying the thermal outdoor spa
pools complete with baby pool, diving pool & 25 metre swimming pool filled with natural spa water it is
just a 10min walk from Villa Rossa you will be amazed by the relaxing atmosphere and breathtaking scenery
as you sit and sun yourself around the pool side.
3. TENNIS - Our local Tennis club is set along the riverside a 15 min walk from the property with 3 clay courts & one all weather court, pizzeria & bar .

The villa in Bagni di Lucca exceeded my expectations! I felt welcomed the moment I got there and everyday since. I couldn't help but focus on the mountainous landscape surrounding the villa. The weeks spent in this Tuscan villa were the most peaceful and relaxing. Many of the days were used by the pool laying out in the sun enjoying the stunning views. The location of Bagni di Lucca is fantastic with convenient trips to nearby towns of Lucca, Pisa, Florence, etc. When you stay here, you can tell Jo and Antonio take pride in having people stay in their villa. The apartment was a beautifully restored farmhouse set within the wonderful rural countryside of tuscany. We woke up to spectacular views overlooking olive groves and vineyards with a magnificent mountainous background!! The house is in a very quaint tiny mountain village with a real community spirit, where your italian neighbours will say ciao and the children play happily in the fields. The apartment is self contained and has everything needed to ensure a very comfortable stay, including a very well kept outside garden and swimming pool area. The nearest shops are a short drive away and it is close to Florence, Lucca, Pisa and the beach for day trips. We had the most wonderful time staying here and would love to come back at some point. Would definitely recommend it to others wanting a real italian experience!!! Response: We are so pleased you loved our rental property.
