Haus Strutzenberger is a 'home away from home'. Our apartments are comfortable and family friendly. Located in a quiet residential area, where you can walk or cycle from the door. We arejust 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bad Ischl and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. Relax and just enjoy the views from the balcony or the garden - a real break from the stress of everyday life ! We offer guests a friendly and warm welcome to our home in Austria. As we live on site we are always available for help and assistance, so you can get the most from your holiday. Continental breakfast is available and is served in the comfort and privacy of your own apartment.

The Upper Austria/Salzkammergut region
The Salzkammergut is Austria's lake district. There are 76 lakes surrounded by stunning mountains.
In winter the region has excellent downhill and cross country skiing. Ski on the Katrinalm in Bad Ischl, or take a short drive to the excellent slopes at Dachstein West or Postalm. Something to suit all levels from very beginners to those looking for off piste thrills. Ideal for those looking to combine a winter ski holiday with lots of other activities. Under 1 hour transfer from the airport, making this an ideal location for a weekend or short ski break.
In spring, summer and autumn there is superb walking, cycling, watersports and golf.
This region has it all - great scenery, sites of historical interest such as Hallstatt , sightseeing in the villages around Lake Wolfgang and Salzburg is just an hour away.
Good reliable public transport or hire a car to really get the most from the area.
Bad Ischl area
Bad Ischl is in the heart of the Salzkammergut. A spa town, it was once the summer retreat of the Austrian Royal family. It has a good range of restaurants, bars and shops including the world famous Zauners Konditorei. The town is a popular tourist destination, all year round, as it is surrounded by the most beautiful lakes and mountains. There is great walking and cycling all around on miles of marked paths.The golf course is just 10 minutes away. There are festivals and events throughout the year. In July and August there are daily concerts in the town. In winter there is easy access to a wide range of skiing. Katrinalm ski mountain is 10 minutes from our apartments. Dachstein-West ski area, Postalm and the free ride area of Dachstein Krippenstein can all be reached by car ( about 25 minutes) or free ski bus in around an hour. For non-skiers the town boasts an excellent thermal bath facility, with a range of beauty therapies. Great sightseeing in Salzburg about an hour away
How to get there
The nearest airport is Salzburg about an hour away by car.There are regular flights from the UK with Ryanair, Sky Europe and Thomsonfly.
Linz airport is about 90 minutes away by car and Ryanair fly there from the UK
You can also fly to Munich with Easyjet or Air Berlin and Easyjet to Vienna. Both airports are about 3 hours drive away.
