Home description

The Salzkammergut is the ideal place for both winter and summer. In winter, several ski areas for different abilities are just a short ride away, while the beautiful lakes and world heritage sites make the area a summer paradise. The ski bus to Gosau stops 100m from the apartment, while the bathing area of Lake Hallstatt is a short distance away. Salzburg itself is within 45 minutes by car.

The apartment is composed of a small bedroom with double bed, a large living room/kitchen with a double sofa bed, a bathroom with electric towel warmer and a south facing balcony. Most furnishings are new as the apartment has only recently been made available for the rental market. There is a lockable cellar compartment for skis and suitcases etc. The block has a laundry and drying room, indoor bike storage and a large private garden.

The Upper Austria/Salzkammergut region

The area is both beautiful and cultural, with towns such as Hallstatt, Bad Ischl and St.Wolfgang a short ride away.

Surrounded by mountains 2000m, high mountains, with the Dachstain at just under 3000m a focal point of the area, the skiing possibilities are endless, while in summer the 76 lakes of the Salzkammergut offer swimming, diving, boating and sailing. The nearest beach on Lake Hallstatt is just 5 minutes from the apartment.

Bad Goisern area

The apartment is situated between Bad Goisern and Hallstatt, near where Lake Hallstatt flows out into the river Traun.

The suburb of Au offers local services such as restaurants and bars, a grocer, butcher, baker and bank, with good transport links by bus and train, while retaining a quiet aspect.

How to get there

Salzburg airport is 60km away, Linz airport 115km. Train station and bus stop 150m from property.

The apartment is rentable for a minimum of 3 days out of peak season, one week in peak season.

There is a charge of €40 per stay for cleaning and clean linen, towels etc., to be paid when you pick up the keys. Check the calender for availability.
