Home description
Popular with locals, German and Scandinavian and Irish visitors , and many more nationalities the entire Gastein Valley is an international resort and has a balanced mixture of singles, families and couples, with a very pleasant,civilised and friendly atmosphere There are several nightclubs and apres ski venues, live music throughout the season and activities in the many hotels and restaurants. There are nearby public spa sauna and pool facilities, a skating rink and many hotels allow access to their pools and saunas.
Many of these facilities are welcome to non skiers.
A car is not necessary as there is good public transport facilities but we have found one useful to get the most out of the holiday. The roads in winter have never posed any problems as they are superbly maintained.

The Austrian Alps / Salzburgerland / Salzburgerland region
Sunny mountainous area south of Salzburg. Many kilometres of ski runs, mountain walks. Lakes and mountain drives. Continental type climate. Good winter snowfall and sunny hot summers although moderated by the mountain air.
Valley view is located outside the centre of Badgastein, on the slopes of Graukogel. Badgastein is an old spa town, full of character and classic architecture. There are many kilometres of ski runs in the valley which also has another three ski resorts linkeed by Ski bus, train and taxi.
Bad Gastein / Badbruck area
Badgastein and the Gastein valley also offers summer activities, the ski lifts and gondolas are open and there is a golf course nearby and activities such as mountain biking tennis walking, canoeyning, parascending and day trips to other nearby areas such as Zell am See.

How to get there
Ryanair- flights from £15 return to Salzburg, Also flights to Klagenfurt.Frequent bus or 10 euro taxi to Salzburg Station. Frequent direct trains to BadGastein Two hour scenic journey. Low cost internet Car hire from the airport from £150 per week.. Fast easy motorway then good roads to the resort . About seventy minutes drive even in winter.

Further details indoors: Luxuriously fitted with recently laid solid oak floors, black leather furniture and a modern decor, the apartment offers a comfortable modern base for your holiday. The master bedroom is fitted with an Austrian twin bed, ie two separate mattresses and separate bedding, and so is suitable for a couple or two singles. The "dormitory" is fitted with two sets of pine bunk beds. Children under ten should not occupy the top bunk. Its is pernitted to move the mattresses around from room to room to suit the guest requirements
