Home description
Our chalet at Bacton-on-Sea has two bedrooms, one with two sets of bunk beds sleeping four, the other with a double bed and en suite shower. Close to the beautiful sandy beach, the children will be content to build sand castles for hours! Later in the day relax as you watch the evening sun gently slip behind the silhouette of Bacton church across the fileds.

The North Norfolk Coast is very varied from beautiful sandy beaches to chalk cliffs, shingle to mud flats and salt marshes. There are saxon, roman and other sites, including Grimes Graves stone-age settlement.
Bacton area
The North Norfolk Coast stretches from the Wash to the Broads and is full of interesting places with a huge variety of things to do and see. Take a trip to see the seals at Blakeney or Morston. Sail in an old wherry on the Norfolk Broads. Relax and enjoy the beautiful, quiet sandy beach just two hundred yards from the chalet. The historic city of Norwich is only 18 miles away with its fine cathedral and castle keep - one of the best in the country! There a several National Trust properties nearby (Blickling and Felbrigg) as well as the famous Holkham and Houghton halls. The lighthouse at Happisburgh is well worth a visit on open days; the view from the top is spectacular
How to get there
From North Walsham take Bacton Road towards Edingthorpe and on to Bacton. As you enter Bacton, turn left onto the B1159. You will pass the Duke of Edinburgh pub on the left, a petrol station and farm shop on the right, a fish and chip shop (right). About 80 yards after the chip shop is a car park and shop on the right. Turn right immediately after the car park into the Coast Road Chalet Estate. Follow the track up the hill until it branches. Turn left, our chalet is the larger one on the right hand side with a large window over-looking the green.

Further details indoors: The living room is open plan with kitchen and dining area. Two comfortable sofas and two chairs provide relaxation for guests. There is a Television and Video player, with a selection of videos, a collection of books, games, puzzles and magazines. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. French windows open from the kitchen onto a decked area. The double bedroom looks out over a grassy area with a view of Bacton Church across the fields. Please note that there is a £20 surcharge for linen and towels. Ladies' and Gents' toilets are situated about twenty yards from the chalet. All the local guides you are likely to need are in the chalet for you to use, together with a collection of books and videos.
Further details outdoors: Bacton-on-Sea is perfectly situated for walking, relaxing on the beautiful quiet sandy beaches – just a couple of hundred yards away, exploring the Broads – only six miles away, Cromer, Sheringham, or Great Yarmouth. North Norfolk Coast is famous for the variety of wildfowl which can be seen on the salt marshes nearby. The historical city of Norwich is within easy reach (18 miles). Garden furniture, buckets and spades are provided.
