The house itself was built in the late 1880s and sits in a one acre plot - unique considering it's central location in one of Ayr's best residential areas. The interior of the house offers an abundance of old-fashioned, period charm and character. The garden is mature and south-facing, and contains some special and rare species of trees and shrubs, as well as and abundance of mature fruit trees.

WALKING AND CYCLING

ISLE OF ARRAN

AYR RACECOURSE

Located in the town of Ayr itself, this is an excellent racing surface at all times of the year.

Ayr

Largest of the Clyde Coast holiday towns, Ayr lies 32 miles South-West of Glasgow. It looks out on the glorious panorama of the Firth, with the majestic peaks of Arran in the foreground and the Mull of Kintyre in the background.

The beautiful Ayrshire countryside provided the inspiration for some of the finest verses of the National Bard of Scotland, Robert Burns.

There is much to do in Ayr itself, and the surrounding countryside. Enjoy top quality links golf course at very reasonable prices. Take a stroll along Ayr beach and enjoy the beautiful sunsets with views over to the isle of Arran.

The town of Ayr (and nearby Prestwick) boasts many excellent restaurants (contact us for personal recommendations).

The splendid Culzean Castle is definitely worth a visit. Likewise the award-winning Burns Birthplace Museum.

Ayr Racecourse is a well-known racecourse in Scotland and hosts both National Hunt and flat racing. It has the largest capacity in Scotland for horse racing. Notable events include the Scottish Grand National (April) and Ayr Gold Cup (September) as well as several night meetings.

There is also plenty to do with children, such as a visit to the Heads of Ayr farmpark, which as over 50 different kinds of animals which the children can feed and touch. Or a visit to Pirate Pete's indoor play centre, or the Citadel leisure centre and swimming pool.
