The Famagusta District
Ayia Napa is located on the South Eastern tip of Cyprus. It is perhaps best known all over Europe as a famous tourist resort and is one of Cyprus's most popular beach resorts. The beaches are some of the best on the island with fine white sand and clear turquoise waters. The main centre of the district is Paralimni 3 miles north of Ayia Napa whilst the tourist resort of Protaras is 5 miles to the East. The centre of Ayia Napa has in recent times cleaned up its alternative Ibiza reputation and is now more family friendly orientated with a great selection of bars, tavernas and restaurants. With almost year round sunshine Cyprus is an ideal choice for Winter as well as Summer sun.
Ayia Napa / Nissi Beach area
Nissi beach is within 300 metres of the apartment where you will find a great selection of water sports available. There is even a bundgy jump for the brave. The biggest water park in Europe in also within a mile of the complex and highly recommended for a great day out. Ayia napa harbour is the place to go if you like fishing or boat trips and The monastry in the centre of the square is well worth a visit. For the more adventurous a trip up into the Troodos by car or jeep safari is a great way to see the interior of the island. Mountain biking has become popular in recent times with hiking popular as ever. There are several golf courses on the island mostly towards the West but all within 2 hours drive.
