About the home

Ruby’s Retreat is a new, one bedroom ground floor apartment, capable of sleeping up to four people, near the centre of Ayia Napa. A second apartment is also available upon request. Please enquire for availability details.
It is in a highly prized, discreet location, with a magnificent communal pool featuring well tended mature gardens including a tropical themed area, fish ponds and aviaries.
We offer friendly and tasteful accommodation, with a unique secluded terrace view of natural unspoilt countryside.
Such is the centrality of the location, a range of the top restaurants and bars is within 5 minutes walking distance, as is the centre of Ayia Napa, yet within Ruby’s Retreat, you will experience an oasis of undisturbed calm – essential for that undisturbed night’s sleep.
The choice is yours, whether to relax within the tranquil surroundings or to engage in a stroll to the nearest restaurant or busy nightlife!

Facilities

Further details indoors:
Consisting of an open plan kitchen / dining / lounge area, a bathroom and one bedroom, all newly finished in a tasteful manner.
The lounge and the dining area have adequate seating for 4 people. For your entertainment a television and CD/Radio are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, teapot, toaster and washing machine. Cutlery, crockery, glassware, and cooking utensils are provided.

The bedroom is furnished with two single beds, a built in wardrobe and a dressing table. Two sofa beds are also located within the lounge area. Complementary travel cot and high chair may be available upon request when booking.
The bathroom is fitted with shower, wash basin, and toilet.

All areas have electronic, remote control air conditioning (cooling and heating), double glazed windows and tiled floors throughout.
Towels (including beach) and bed linen are provided.
A mid let clean and change of bed linen, if required, can be arranged prior to your stay.

Further details outdoors:
A terraced area is accessible through patio doors in the lounge and bedroom and is furnished with patio table, chairs, parasol etc. The terrace has a secluded view of natural unspoilt countryside while the complex front is within five minutes walk from the Ayia Napa restaurant area.
The communal pool is spectacular and is surrounded by mature and themed gardens.
An off road on site allocated parking space is available should you decide to hire a car or scooter.

The Famagusta region

The golden sandy beaches of the Famagusta district, Iying in the government controlled area, stretch out in the eastern corner of the island. The popular holiday making centres of Ayia Napa and Paralimni, have been called a veritable paradise for anyone who loves the sea and water sports. The area enjoys year round sunshine with light sea breezes refreshing the coastal region.

The charming scenery includes the tiny fishing harbour of Ayia Napa, and the medieval monastery in the heart of the village, the wind mills and small churches in the surrounding villages, which spread out in the area of Paralimni and Protaras .

This region, which is the main potato-producing area on the island, is known as "Kokkinochoria" which means "red-soil villages", Indeed, the soil of the whole area is deep red in colour, due to a very high metal oxide content.

The Ayia Napa / Nissi Beach area

Ayia Napa has a full range of shopping areas, cafés, restaurants, pubs and discotheques. Many attractions are found in the town centre including Ayia Napa Monastery, which is a landmark of the town.
The popular harbour area is a pedestrian zone, with cafés and seafood taverns lining the sea front. At night, beautifully designed lights illuminate the harbour, setting the perfect scene for a romantic meal or a family stroll. There is also a walkway all the way along the coast to the fabulous Nissi Beach. The harbour area is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from Ruby’s Retreat, through the town centre.
Alternatively, head to Cape Greco (a National Forest Park), outside the town, to find charming trails for biking, hiking or walking. It is an idyllic picnic spot with equipped BBQ areas and amenities.

Eating Out
There is a wide range of cuisine from around the world available including French, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Indian, home cooked favourites and of course local fresh fish.
The main restaurant area is on the doorstep of your ‘La Casa di Napa’ complex.

Beaches
There are beaches dotted along the roadsides both in an out of Ayia Napa which all offer excellent bathing and relaxation opportunities. Nissi Beach is approximately a 10 minute walk from Ruby’s Retreat. There's music, water sports, a 50 metre bungee jump, and there's an island not far away too which you can wade out to.
Makronissos is also a large beach and as with almost all of the beaches, it offers full water sports, particularly parascending and paddle boating.

Water Sports
A great range of water sports is available. The most popular sport seems to be scuba diving, as the water surrounding the island is warm and crystal clear, with even tides and visibility reaching up to 30 or 40 metres. The nearby Water World theme park and the Marine Life museum are also well worth a visit!
