About the home

For golfers and non-golfers alike, the house was built as a lifestyle home within one of Malaysia's best golf courses and has its own 17 metre in-ground swimming pool.

Located just minutes away from the major motorway that runs along the West side of Peninsula Malaysia the house is 20 minutes away from the historical city of Malacca and just 10 mins from supermarkets and local shopping. Our gardener/handyman has been with us since we built the house and his wife provides maid service for guests on longer lets. Bed linen, towels and pool towels are all provided.

Wifi is available throughout the house and garden and also at the golfers' terrace of the Club House where there is also a Chinese restaurant, tennis and squash courts, 50 metre swimming pool and golf driving range. Golf and use of sports facilities available at reasonable rates.

Four huge bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms on the first floor where there is also a large family/TV room with satellite TV and DVD player. Extra floor mattresses for additional guests ( children only) Please note that the house is not baby proof, nor toddler friendly

Ground floor entrance hall, spacious living room and dining room. Open plan kitchen plus a
wet kitchen where all the cooking and washing-up is done, leaving the house free of cooking smells. A maid's room with bathroom is also available.

Linen, towels and pool towels available. Heated towel rails in two bedrooms

Plentiful board games and books as well as an extensive DVD collection ( just in case it rains)

Further details outdoors:
The house is built in traditional Malay style, around a central courtyard ( garden) with very high ceilings. It is exceptionally well maintained. A 17 metre swimming pool ensures that it makes for a real family holiday and the 27 hole golf course will prove challenging to all. Covered parking for two cars with additional open parking for at least three more.

The swimming pool is open and accesible from the terraces of the house and so we advise that it is not 'baby proof' nor toddller friendly

The Melaka region

Malacca is a World Heritage Site and is of significant historical interest, having been colonised by the Dutch, Portugese and British after early Chinese settlers inter-married with local Malays in the 15th century. It was one of the Straits settlements, along with Penang and latterly Singapore and is still home to descendants of early Portugese and Chinese settlers( the Peranakan).

It is tropical with a cooler winter ( Dec to Feb) and hot, humid summer.

Ideally placed for travel to Kuala Lumpur and Sinagpore

The house is located within one of Malaysia's premier golf courses. 27 holes over the Lake, Meadow and Woodlands Courses. Golfers' Terrace serving local and Western food, with free wifi. Tiger beer on tap! Chinese restaurant, swimming pool, kids pool,tennis, squash courts and driving range. The house has one set of right handed clubs and one set of left handed clubs.

We are a 20 minute drive from Malacca town with its historical sites. The A Fomosa fort. built by the Portugese in 1511, St. John's fort built by the Dutch in the 18th century and St. Paul's church are places not to miss for the historically minded and the famous Jonker Street, home of multiple antique shops, turns into a wonderful night market on weekends.

Shopping available at the huge supermarkets/department stores (Tesco, Giant and Jusco) near the Central bus station (Melaka Sentral)

The Melaka zoo, Botanic Gardens and one of Malaysia's best water theme parks are close by.Malaysia's longest go-kart track with karts for hire is 5 mins from the house. River trips on the Melaka river are popular as are the riverside restaurants. A sun-downer, or dinner, on th terrace of the Cas del Rio hotel is a must.

Like its sister city Penang, Malacca is also famous for its food- Peranakan ( a spicy mix of Chinese/Malay), Indian and Malay food stalls and restaurants are to be found everywhere. The Portugese settlement on the sea-front offers wonderful seafood.

One and a half hours drive South on the North/South Highway, from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or Two and a half hours drive North on the North/South Highway from Singapore. Car hire is available from both airports. Taxi service is also available from KLIA and locally. There are luxury coaches operating from Singapore.

“Perfect and peaceful house” Thank you, Mike, we had a great holiday! The house was very beautiful, well-equipped and very spacious. It was made to be home. We all, especially the children, enjoyed the large pool. Thank to the handyman and his wife who keep the house so clean and maintained. He gave us good tips and was very friendly and helpful. The area was very peaceful and safe. Golf courses were in good shape and variable. We can truly recommend this place to others.

“You look for a place to stay in a private and luxuous environment in Melaka? Stop searching: this is it!” The property is situated in Aier Keroh, just off the highway en 20 minutes drive to Melaka downtown. It's easy to find, just around the corner of Melaka Zoo and in the midst of a great golf course. The confirmation of the booking comes with information on the house, driving directions, and information on the golf course. The hospitality of the owner and housekeepers is great: from the first day you feel yourself at home. The property itself has literally everything you need, from tv-room with Astro satellite 'till a georgious private swimming pool, all in a classic Malaysian style.

“perfect perfect perfect!!” We arrived at the house and walked around, speekless, just wondering. The very clean house is in a perfect condition!! We had many contacts with the owner, Mike, he always answered very fast so we allready arrived with a good feeling. The house is located inside a golf property, so it is very silent there. We visited Singapore and KL, and after a long day where always happy to return "home". The pool is as seen on the pictures and was used daily. I've rentend a lot of places over the world until now, but this is the best!! Thank you, Mike you have a great home and whenever we will come back to Malaysia be sure we will contact you.

“For Golfers and Non Golfers Alike - Secure Luxury” Located within a gated country club resort the house is everything it says on the box. The photos do not do it justice and the owners have set it up as a home from home. The previous reviewer covered it all really and I agree with everything said. For anyone looking for a secure luxurious home with direct access to 27 holes of manicured and very reasonably priced golf then you need look no further.

“Stunning home. My family and I did not want to leave” My family and I (Husband, myself and 3 children 17, 13 and 10) have just returned from a lovely holiday in Malaysia, made more special by staying in this wonderful villa. The villa is spacious, luxurious and the pool simply wonderful. From the moment we booked I felt looked after, and this was only enhanced by the lovely couple looking after the house who went about their work in an unobtrusive way. I even had my laundry and ironing attended to; absolute luxury. The villa is very spacious; the pool very large and I never felt anything but "at home". There are board games etc to keep you occupied; inflatables for the pool and a DVD player and TV should you (or any children) want to indulge. The club house on site has a wonderful Chinese restaurant which we ate in on more than one occasion and although we didn't use them there is also a large pool and tennis courts should you wish. Nearby Melaka is a lovely city to visit (approx 20-25 mins by car) and there are wonderful restauarants; sights and shops. Jonkers Walk on a Friday or Saturday night is a must! We also took the opportunity to visit Kuala Lumpar and Singapore whilst there and I would say a car is a necessity not only to explore this lovely country but also to make to most of your stay. Driving is good as the roads are well maintained, though lane control is a little erratic. I would have no hesitation in booking this villa again or recommending it to others.
