The Costa de la Luz / Huelva Province region
Ayamonte is located just off the IP1 motorway which links Portugal to Spain, therefore very convenient to discover both regions.
From this location you can experience the many Spanish resorts such as Islantilla, El Rompido and El Portil all within 30 Minutes drive. The wonderful city of Seville is just 90 minutes drive and is a must with its many tourist attractions. The beauty of this property is its location, although it is situated in Spain you are only 5 minutes from the Portuguese Algarve thus allowing you to enjoy both cultures in one holiday. You will also discover that there are around 10 top quality golf courses all with in a short drive... excuse the pun.
Ayamonte / Costa Esuri area
The apartment is located on the Costa Esuri Golf resort 5 minutes outside the local town of Ayamonte overlooking the Guidiana river which divides Spain from Portugal. There is a wide choice of beaches form Isla Canela which is just 10 mins away or try Altura or Manta Rota only 15 minutes over the bridge in Portugals Algarve. Seville is only 90 minutes away by car and is a fantastic city to explore. There are numerous water parks for those steamy days a fantastic theme park "Isla Magica" in Seville, other activities such as horse riding, go-karting and wind surfing are all within 30 minute drive.
The nearest town is Ayamonte which is only 10 minutes by car and full of traditional Spanish charm and culture. Its wonderful cobbled lined streets have many local shops, numerous bars and restaurants and historic monuments. Here you can also board the ferry and cross the river Guardiana to the neighboring Portuguese town of Villa Sto Antonio. Isla Canela Beach is only 10 minutes from Ayamonte.
How to get there
Ayamonte and Costa Esuri are easily reached by the IP1 motorway which links Spain and Portugal. Faro Airport is 45 minutes drive. Seville Airport is 75 minutes drive. Car hire from both airports is well organised and reasonably priced. Transfers can be arranged if required. All major and budget airlines fly either to Faro or Seville.
