The Costa de la Luz / Huelva Province region

The villa is ideally situated, being on the border (only 10 minutes by car) from Portugal, so you have both Portugal and Spain to explore. Seville is approximately 1 hour away, which is a fantastic historic city to visit.

Ayamonte / Costa Esuri area

Unspoilt sandy beaches are available at Praia Verde in Portugal and Isla Canela in Spain which are both vast, beautiful beaches with lots of room and are only 10-15 minutes drive away. There is a water park in Cartaya in Spain, approx 20 minutes away or a large water park in Portugal at Alcantarilha approx 1 hour away.

The villa backs onto Costa Esuri East and Costa Esuri West is only 5 minutes away but within 45 minutes there are another 15 golf courses. Costa Esuri Golf Resort is located near Ayamonte, in the heart of the Spanish Algarve. The resort boasts two 18-hole courses, and two club houses ensure the best choice for your golf in Costa de la Luz and in the Eastern Algarve. The lack of houses on the course and its privileged location on the bank of the Guadiana River, the fantastic views over to Portugal and the mouth of the river and all the comforts of the resort itself, make this club a golfer’s paradise.

The new East Course (opened in February 2008), is fairly long at over 6,900 yards, and is very well integrated on the slope down towards the salt marshes of the Guadiana River, with views to the sea and the town of Ayamonte. It is a more technical course than the older West track.

Opened in March 2007, Costa Esuri West is a superb riverside parkland course but with a real links golf feel. The prevailing wind off the Guadiana river brings added challenge to the layout but the fairways are wide and fair. With a long term ambition to host tour events, the course is long and challenging but without being a slog.
When you finish your round at Costa Esuri Golf Club, you can relax and unwind in the clubhouse which has a large bar area and a sun terrace overlooking the river and substantial practice area. The food is excellent in the clubhouse, especially the breakfast, so arrive early if you are playing in the morning!

Other Courses:
Those with eagle eyes will spot the new Seve Ballesteros course at Quinta do Vale over the water in Portugal. This is also well worth a play!

Ayamonte has a wonderful cultural heritage which can be seen when you wander around the pedestrianised streets. The streets are lined with flowers around the whitewashed houses, attractive squares and Baroque churches. A stroll along the marina towards the harbour will bring you to the ferry that crosses the River Guadiana into Portugal. A short 10 minute crossing, taking in views of Ayamonte’s coastline, along to Isla Canela where the River Guadiana meets the sea. If preferred, you can drive across the International Bridge into Portugal, just 5 minutes from Costa Esuri.

Ayamonte is surrounded by protected areas of wildlife, such as the Marismas del Guadiana (Estuary Marshes), which is abundant with flamingos and storks.

There is also the Formosa Nature Reserve which is one of the largest in Spain and is only 15 – 20 minutes by car and the pretty fishing village of Ayamonte is only 5 minutes by car which has all the facilities you require with supermarkets, banks, restaurants, bars etc. Therefore, the villa makes an ideal position to explore from.

How to get there

Faro airport is approximately 45 minutes away and Seville airport is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes away which gives easy access.

There are four bedrooms in total. The master bedrooms has a king size bed, a separate dressing room, an en suite bathroom, and a sunny balcony overlooking the rear garden with views over the golf course and down to the river. The second bedroom has twin beds, an en suite bathroom, patio doors to rear garden and views over the swimming pool. The third bedroom has twin beds and fitted wardrobes and the fourth bedroom has twin beds.

The lounge and dining room has sofas, coffee table, dining room table with chairs, plasma TV and DVD player, and views over rear garden and pool.

The kitchen is fully fitted with hob, oven and extractor fan, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, iron with ironing board, vacuum cleaner, full utensils and crockery etc.

Patio table with chairs, BBQ, sun loungers for pool area, swimming pool (8m x 4m) with Roman End with steps into pool, patio and grass area.

Front walled garden with electric sliding gates for car access.

The villa is cleaned before and after each rental period and linen, bath towels are replaced weekly (we do not supply beach towels).

Highchairs and cots can be provided upon request.

Conditions

Deposit of 20% is required, balance paid in full 8 weeks before departure together with a refundable deposit of £300 for breakages which will be returned with 14 days, once the property has been checked for any damage/breakages.

Normal change over day is Saturday but can be flexible subject to availability.

Arrival is 4pm onwards on the day arrival. Vacation time is 10.00am on the day of departure.
