The Costa de la Luz / Huelva Province region
Totally unspoilt with 18 kilometres of beaches often referred to as the forgotten part of spain. The Park Natural covers a vast area and this has a wild life which still has the last remaining lynx. There are many markets to visit on various days and even over the border into Portugal.
Isla Cristina is a very spanish town with very few English here and the fishing port and marina are well worth a visit. In Huelva there are many large shops and some chain stores which is great for shopping. Approximately 10 kilometres from the villa is the beautiful El Rompido which reminds you of a waterside cornish village, near here is a water park and go karting.
Ayamonte area
A traditional spanish town with many beautiful churches, shops and lovely squares to sit and lunch or just a drink and watch it all go by. You can take the ferry to Portugal or take a trip up the river guardiana on a large boat and enjoy the singing and dancing.
The Marina is very pretty and sits opposite the marina square where there are many bars and even a paper shop with english papers! Ayamonte is big on festivals and at certain times of the year you can watch spanish dancing and both religious and music festivals. There is a nice park and zoo for the children.
