The Costa de la Luz region
The traditional Spanish Town of Ayamonte is situated in the south west corner of Andalucia. In the province of Huelva and it is the last town before reaching the Portuguese Algarve. Here you will find a wealth of activities to keep you busy, or a sun drenched beach to help you relax.
This part of southern Spain still retains the charm of yesteryear but also offers you a dynamic and vibrant experience. Ayamonte is about one hour ten minutes drive from the beautiful Andalucian capital of Seville which has an international airport. It is about forty five minutes drive from Faro airport in Portugal.
Costa de la Luz meaning 'The Coast of Light', is a very green and hilled area of Spain. I think this is one of the main things which separates the area from the rest. The original culture and heritage of the local communities are still very much present. The Climate is mild in Winter and Hot in Summer making a very good holiday destination all year round!
The Ayamonte / Costa Esuri area
Costa Esuri is in the Spanish Algarve (very near the Portuguese border, 5 mins).The apartment is well located, you can walk to the two 18 hole golf courses (one at championship level) or club house in a few minutes.
One of the most exciting golf destinations in Europe . The Huelva region and Eastern Algarve have an excellent climate for year-round golf, with a selection of courses that offer golfers a challenging game. There are many courses within a thirty minute drive from the charming village of Ayamonte .

- There are also many small tapas bars around Ayamonte, which never fail to impress.
Historic places to visit-
- Iglesia de las Angustias is situated in the centre of town close to the ferry and just off the Plaza de la Laguna. - This fifteenth century church with its' brick tower provides stunning views to Portugal.
- The parish church of El Salvador just below the Parador in the La Villa district is another historical location. This church dates back to the thirteenth century and has managed to survive a number of earthquakes.
- Casa Grande is a magnificent building situated on Calle Huelva. The building has been fully restored and is now a cultural centre housing a number of exhibits by local artists. The municipal library is also housed here. The Tourist Information office is 50 metres along the road towards the centre.
You can catch the Ferry to Portugal and visit Vila Real San Antonio for 1.50€. There are also a number of Guadiana Boat Trips, Tours, and Excursions available.

Ryanair fly from all major cities to Faro/Seville for next to nothing. Jerez is another option.
Fly Monarch is a more comfortable flight - ideal if flying with children.
Easyjet and Ryanair also have good deals to Faro.
