The Costa de la Luz / Huelva Province region
The Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light) in Huelva Province runs from the Guadiana river that separates Portugal from Spain to the Guadalquivir river in the east. This part of the Atlantic coastline boasts long, unspoilt sandy beaches backed by pine woods and sand dunes and many protected coastal reserves.
The weather is generally very good with more than 300 days of sunshine with hot summer months and milder winters making it perfect all year round, for golfers, those looking for the beach and those looking to explore or simply relax.
Ayamonte / Costa Esuri area
Just over the border with Portugal is Ayamonte, a fishing port that used to serve as a through-route to Portugal with its daily ferry to Vila Real de Santo Antonio across the Guadiana river. The town is well worth a visit for its pleasant squares and pretty, narrow pedestrianised streets in the centre.
How to get there
Most airports in the UK have departures to Faro. From Faro airport - 40 mins drive. Alternatively fly to Seville airport with Ryanair or BA - drive time 70 mins. Look at Travelsupermarket or Skyscanner for flights. Car Hire from both airports is well organised and reasonably priced.

If a cancellation is necessary after paying your deposit or after full payment has been made for the cost of the holiday, the following are the terms of cancellation:
55-29 days Loss of 50% of deposit
28-22 days Loss of full deposit
21-7 days Loss of 50% of holiday cost plus full deposit
7 days or less Loss of 100% of holiday cost plus full deposit
A booking only becomes firm on receipt of your deposit payment of 20%. Full payment is due six weeks before departure date. If you book the accommodation within six weeks of departure, then full payment is due at the time of booking.
A fully refundable damage deposit of 200 euros is required when you make the final payment. Once we have received confirmation from the management company that the apartment has been left in good order, this will be returned to you promptly
