About the home

Los Albatros is located right on the beach. Quiet and peaceful, yet only five minutes from the marina and commercial centre. The apartment has easy access to all amenities, including the islands sports centre and golf courses as well as the fishing village that has many excellent restaurants for eating out.
The villa benefits from its own private pool, with a shallow pool perfect for the children. Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning sea views and furniture to enable you to dine al fresco. One double and one twin bedroom make the villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

The apartment is located on the second floor of a beach front complex. It has two bedrooms (1 Double, 1 Twin) 1bathroom, living room, and kitchen which has stunning pool and sea views. The master bedroom also opens to the balcony. The apartment is fully furnished to a very high standard and comes equipped with a fully fitted kitchen with washing machine and tumble dryer.

You will find 2 swimming pools to relax by, including a smaller one for the kids (open from 1st April to 30th September) as well as a children's play area and lovely gardens. The complex also boasts 2 paddle tennis courts. The apartment has an allocated underground parking space within the grounds.

Bars, restaurants and supermarkets are all within a 5 minute stroll along the esplanade. So If you are looking for a beach, pool or active holiday in a fantastic location then you need look no further.

The Costa de la Luz region

The Costa de la Luz enjoys more hours of sunshine and less rain per year than even the Costa del Sol! The name Costa de la Luz, Coast of Light, comes from the long hours of sunlight and the beautiful sunsets over the west and south facing coastline. Isla Canela is located in the tourist area par excellence of Spain: Andalusia.
Isla Canela is a natural island with a bridge to Ayamonte, a village in the province of Huelva with the purest of Andalusian charm. It is located on the mouth of the River Guadiana, on the border between Andalusia and the Portuguese Algarve and offers the charm and benefits of both areas.
Sun and wind are the most important climatic factors of this area of Spain.
Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, which is marked by the proximity to the north of Africa, in winter temperatures seldom fall below 10° C (50°F), easily reaching 20°C (68°F) at noon. Thanks to the Atlantic breeze, maximum temperatures in summer seldom rise above moderate 30°C (86 °F), while in the interior of Andalusia or at Costa del Sol, 40° C (104 °F) can easily be reached.

The Ayamonte / Isla Canela area

Los Albatros is on the beach of Isla Canela which is situated in the South West corner of Andalusia at the mouth of the River Guardiana which is the natural border between the Portuguese Algarve and Spain. This coast is known as Costa de la Luz translated to Coast of Light, and boasts long unspoiled sandy beaches with great swimming and fishing, and beautiful sunsets. Still very Spanish, the local industry is fishing and farming and nearby Ayamonte town holds many traditional festivals. There are many good restaurants and tapas bars offering exceptional value both in Playa Canela and Ayamonte town. Golfers will rejoice in the amount of choice they have within a short 'drive' from Ayamonte, in both Spain and Portugal, the closest being Par 72 just 2 kms away. The weather is warm all year round but can get very hot in the summer months. Within 20 mins, golfers can visit some of the best courses on both the spanish and portugese algarves. Courses such as Castro Marim, El Rompido, Islantill, Quinta Ria, Quinta De Cima and also Vale De Lobo are just an hour away.
