We would like to introduce you to our lovely two-bedroom, two bathroom, air-conditioned/heated, ground floor apartment, which benefits from a west facing garden. It has been furnished to a very high standard, as we want you to enjoy all the facilities and comforts you have at home…but in the warmth of the beautiful, unspoilt Costa de la Luz.

The apartment is provided with home entertainment in the form of flat screen TV, Sky box (bring your own Sky card), DVD player, CD/Radio and iPod docking station. Numerous DVDs are provided along with a selection of CDs and books.

It enjoys an uninterrupted view across the very attractive communal gardens and swimming pools and has views of Portugal in the distance. Just a short stroll takes you to Hole 19, an attractive restaurant and bar with terrace views to the Guadiana River and into Portugal.

You'll find this delightful apartment perfectly situated within Marina Esuri, which is a private gated development on the Costa Esuri resort. It's elevated position gives it unrivalled views over the swimming pool, beautiful gardens and beyond to the hills of Portugal.

Costa Esuri is situated on the totally unspoilt Costa de la Luz, bordering the Eastern Algarve, with a choice of two airports, served by low cost airlines - Faro is 40 minutes and Seville 1 ¼ hours drive. Also within a 15 -30 minute radius are some superb golf courses, in both Spain and Portugal.

A small supermarket in an elevated position, provides your essential requirements, is within Costa Esuri. It also serves pizza and hot baguettes and the outside tables provide an ideal place to enjoy their very reasonably priced beer or wine.

The town of Ayamonte is just a few minutes drive and provides for all your needs with supermarkets, shops, pharmacies and bakeries plus a wide selection of bars, cafes and restaurants. There is also a covered market offering the freshest produce of the area. Most of the shopping and eating areas of Ayamonte are pedestrianised, making for a relaxing stroll around the town or alongside the marina.

The long, clean and un-crowded beaches, backed by sand dunes at Isla Canela are a short drive away with ample free parking. There is a long promenade for those of an energetic nature who want to jog, or those who just want a quiet stroll. Bikes are available for hire here. Going further east are similar lovely beaches at Islantilla, El Rompido, Nuevo Portil and Punta Umbria. There is free parking at all these beaches with some offering delightful pine shaded areas for picnics.

 

A few minutes drive across the border into Portugal, the unbroken line of beaches continues with, amongst others, Praia Verde, Cabeco and Manta Rota.

A large room with dining table and six chairs, two three-seat sofas, coffee table, lamp tables, display unit featuring flat screen television, DVD player, radio/CD player and an iPod docking station. A Skybox is installed and just requires renters to take their own Sky card. There is a good selection of DVDs, CDs, books and family games. Double doors opening to terrace.

Kitchen:

Fully equipped kitchen, with everything you will need including, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, plentiful crockery, cutlery, cookware and glassware……and corkscrews!

Utility room:

Washing machine, ironing board, iron, clothes-dryer, gas boiler for hot water. Beach loungers, beach chairs, umbrella and cool box.

Bedroom 1:

Queen-size bed, comfortable UK made mattress, large fitted double wardrobe, large chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, bedside lamps, clock radio and hairdryer. Doors to terrace, door to en-suite bathroom.

En-suite:

A full size bath with shower over and shower screen, bidet, basin inset into storage cabinet. Mirror and towel-rack.

The paved garden and covered terrace, enclosed by flowering shrubs and west facing. Make the most of the long, warm evenings and enjoy that quiet, end of day drink and tapas. A patio table, four chairs, two sun-loungers with mattresses, charcoal BBQ make this enjoyable outdoor living space. The garden overlooks the delightful and well maintained communal gardens, swimming pool and children's paddling pool, which are open all year, 9am – 9pm.

A breakage/damage deposit of GBP 150 is payable prior to arrival and repayable within one week of return to the UK, subject to inspection report by our property manager.

End of Stay Clean:

€50 mandatory, non-profit and payable locally, to ensure the apartment is ready for the next guests.

Welcome Pack:

This can be arranged through the owners and will be subject to a charge of €10 to cover the property managers time and fuel. Payable locally.

*Additional light cleaning, if required, can be arranged and paid locally, through our property manager who lives adjacent to the apartment and has a wealth of local information.

The Andalucia region

The Costa de la Luz, 'Coast of Light', is a beautiful, unspoiled region in the south west of Andalucía, that

offers a true taste of the real Spain, far from the madding crowds of the Costa del Sol. Stretching from Ayamonte in the west to Cadiz in the east, this part of the coast has not suffered the high-rise development of other areas of Spain and has retained all of its rural charm, but is still able to offer every modern amenity, with a well established infrastructure. The motorway linking the region to the Portuguese Algarve is a great way of getting around if you’re in a hurry, but the rural roads are a lovely way of seeing this tranquil part of Spain and visiting it’s many delightful towns, villages and superb beaches.

Ayamonte

The town of Ayamonte is just a few minutes drive and provides for all your needs with supermarkets, shops, pharmacies and bakeries plus a wide selection of bars, cafes and restaurants. There is also a covered market offering the freshest produce of the area. Most of the shopping and eating areas of Ayamonte are pedestrianised, making for a relaxing stroll around the town or alongside the marina. For a little bit of nostalgia, why not take the flat bottomed car ferry to Vila Real, for a spot of lunch or enjoy a Rio Guadiana cruise.

Isla Canela is a purpose built resort with hotels and apartments situated on a superb, long and sandy beach with a promenade between the beach and hotels. The marina is a modern, fully equipped leisure marina and is a base for sailing and boat excursions. By the marina, there are shops, bars and restaurants and across the bay from the marina stands the small fishing village of Punta Morel. This village is home to some excellent fish restaurants with meals prepared from the freshest ingredients.

The pretty town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio is a few minutes drive across the suspension bridge into Portugal. The town, which was destroyed by a tidal wave in the 17th century, has a working marina and the promenade is lined with restaurants and old hotels. The town is famous for its shops selling all types of linens and towels - leave some space in your case! Close by is the attractive village of Castro Marim with its impressive castle, originating in the 13th century. Slightly further away is the lovely town of Tavira, where trips offering dolphin watching can be booked.

Our home is located in a central position to take advantage of all these places of interest plus the golf courses, sights and beaches of the region. It is worth noting that Portugal is a five minute drive away from the apartment and simply by crossing the border, you gain an hour due to the different time zone with Spain.

"Awesome !!!!!"

I have just spent 2 weeks with my wife and 3 young children and we had an absolutely fabulous time. The apartment is great - very well kitted out and the amenities are of high quality (pool and outside area). It is really quiet while at the same time being very convenient for Ayamonte (which is well worth spending some time in with its restaurants and bars, the little zoo for the kids and the boat to Portugal) as well as beatiful beaches both in Spain and Portugal. My favourite was Playa Verde in Portugal which was one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. I did not play golf (perhaps next time) - but the local club and course were good. All in all I would recommend this to everyone - it was gut wrenching leaving.....

"Lapping it up in the Costa de la Luz"

This is a spacious, well equipped apartment with a big flower-festooned patio replete with barbeque and right beside the pool. We were only here 10 mins and we knew we just knew we were going to have a super holiday. Elizabete, the manager was a real sweetheart and the owners could not have been more helpful.
The small towns and BIG beaches of Portugal were on our doorstep, literally minutes away. The water park and go-karting for the kids were also a 15min drive and the little town of Ayamonte was pristinely pleasant for morning coffee or an early evening aperitif. The truth is there is so much more to do than this space allows.. But this is a no pressure place and on several evenings we were happy to stay at home and roast some fresh fish and langoustines from the fish market and wash them down with gorgeous wines. Such Baccanalian Bliss is just a small part of the place.
I confess I did not want to write this review. You see we wanted to keep the secret to ourselves ! How do I rate our stay? 10 out of 10 and still counting!...........until we return next year.

"Just so relaxing"

We flew in to Faro and picked up a rental car. Drove down to Marini Esuri along the motorway. Definitely recommend that route, very relaxing drive and very easy to find the apartment. One thing to note, the motorway in Portugal has a toll so you need to remember to pop back into Portugal 48 hours later to pay. This is not a problem because you can take the opportunity to visit Vila de Real. The apartment is superb, well equipped, with everything to make your stay comfortable. We particularly liked relaxing on the balcony that overlooks the pool and gardens. It felt good to get up in the morning, open the balcony doors and have breakfast in the sunshine. Just a short walk away is the Golf Club where you can get a good meal or, round the corner is Jags Bistro Bar, but make sure you book early if they have entertainment on otherwise you may be disappointed. Ayamonte is just a short distance away and well worth a visit or two. It has a great little shopping Mall just before you reach the centre. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Thanks.

Thank you for your very positive comments about our apartment, we are delighted you enjoyed yourselves so much. The garden really does help make the most of that glorious Spanish sunshine. For future reference in regard to the toll road, it is worth checking with your car rental supplier to see what their policy is. Some are fitting transponders which automatically charge your credit card and is a very straightforward process.
