VisitEngland 4 stars 'Gold Award'

A superb, charming detached ground floor cottage, formerly the milking parlour, newly converted, set in the beautiful Devon countryside in a quiet courtyard setting of Studhayes Barn, located within half a mile of the village of Kilmington, near Axminster. The village boasts an excellent Farm Shop selling locally sourced products together with The Little Barn café and The Old Inn, all one mile away.

A 5 minutes drive to the small thriving market town of Axminster, famous for the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall 'River Cottage Canteen', shops, cafes, restaurants and weekly street market. Ideally positioned to attend the River Cottage courses, weekend dining and special events at Park Farm, only 10 minutes drive.

The coastal town of Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb of the French Lieutenants fame, interesting individual specialist shops and cinema is under a 15 minute drive over the Devon border into Dorset. A little further onto Charmouth with the Heritage Coast Centre offering fossil hunting walks, rockpool rambles and special marine events.

The picturesque fishing village of Beer is a 20 minute drive and a little further to the popular Regency town of Sidmouth, with magnificent beach for swimming, water sports or just lazing in a deck chair. The famous Connaught Gardens with a fascinating range of plants and café is worth a visit as well as The Donkey Sanctuary.

The Devon region

A very warm welcome to our special corner of the West Country and Lyme Bay.

We are passionate about this spectacular area we live in - on the stunning Jurassic Coast on the Devon/Dorset border. We wish you to experience the wonders of this area which we think is "heaven on earth" with so much to see and do.

All our properties are well located in and around Lyme Bay, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Daniel Defoe considered the landscape of East Devon 'the finest in the world'. Its special landscape has been protected to preserve and enhance its natural beauty, a designated 'World Heritage Site'.

West Dorset & East Devon offers the most beautiful and unspoilt stretch of scenic “Jurassic” coastline with dramatic contrasting red and white cliffs, surrounding spectacular countryside, dotted with picturesque villages and small historic towns.

Suiting a variety of visitors of all ages - couples, families, ramblers, nature lovers and sports enthusiasts.
