Little Tythcote is a two storey cottage with exposed beams, recently appointed & furnished to a high standard to offer the following cosy centrally heated accommodation: Dining Hall with garden table & 4 chairs & bench, spiral staircase & cloaks cupboard. Lounge has suite including large sofa/ bed, armchairs, coffee table, Flat screen TV-DVD player. Recently fitted Breakfast Kitchen with Shaker units, table & 4 chairs, comprehensive range of appliances. Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing machine, Tumble Dryer, Microwave, toaster, kettle, iron/board & airer. Radio/CD. For your safety there are smoke alarms and fire extinguisher/blanket fitted.
Upstairs are 2 beamed bedrooms each with its own recently installed private en suite bathroom
Bedroom 1 has option of 6' super-king bed or can split into two 3' singles. Matching suite of furniture including dressing table, bedside tables, chest of drawers & blanket chest , Remote controlled TV. Tea/Coffee making facilities.
Bedroom 2 has twin 3' beds . Dressing table, chest of drawers, bedside table & space for additional child's single bed (stored beneath bed). Cot available in wardrobe.
Lots of wardrobe space and bed linen and towels (hand & bath - not beach) provided free, High chair & travel cot available (please bring cot bedding).
A fantastic place for a romantic getaway or family break in friendly relaxed village with tranquil atmosphere. The West Country counties of Devon Dorset & Cornwall are probably the most popular for holiday makers due to the climate, beaches, countryside and choice of varied attractions to suit all ages - see below for details.
The M5 , M4 and A303 provide easy communications or from the south, the A30 or A35.
Axminster / Chardstock area
Chardstock is a tranquil rural village in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Devon/Dorset/Somerset borders, within 10 miles of the Lyme Bay Jurassic Coast. Within walking distance is the friendly George Inn serving great meals and Village Shop/Post Office well stocked with local produce which can be ordered with daily papers. In the heart of the Village is St.Andrew's Church. Within easy access are beaches at Lyme Regis (famous for fossil hunting) the traditional resort of Seaton, the quaint fishing village of Beer with its suntrap of a beach with beach huts for hire and one of the best beach cafes. A walk over the headland and you come to Branscombe famous for the Masons Arms pub and next along the coast is elegant Regency Sidmouth with its vibrant town centre and annual Festival the first week of August each year.

Chard & Axminster are both 5 miles offering shops, supermarkets, banks,museums, markets & Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's Canteen Restaurant & Deli. in Axminster. Places of interest to visit are Cricket St.Thomas, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Forde Abbey & Gardens, the narrow guage Seaton Tramway from which to explore the Axe Estuary, Pecorama miniature railway at Beer (which holds its Regatta the middle of August), Donkey Sanctuary at Branscombe and Honiton with its antique shops and markets. Details of adventure parks, National Trust properties, etc. are available. Chardstock holds is annual Street Fair the first Saturday of September with a day of varied events.
How to get there
Located off the A358 half way between Chard & Axminster by turning off in village of Tytherleigh for a mile.
Leave M5 at junction 25 and follow A358 through Chard south to Tytherleigh From Exeter direction A3052 to Musbury, then into Axminster and follow A358 north to Tytherleigh
From east A303 to Ilminster then A358 through Chard From south A35 then into Axminster and follow A358 north to Tytherleigh

Pets welcome downstairs in Hall & Kitchen where there is wood effect flooring, but for Health & Safety reasons NOT to be permitted on carpets, furniture or upstairs
