Old School House is a three bed holiday cottage, situated in the small parish of Woodbury just outside Axminster, Devon. The building was originally the Master's house, to the adjoining former parish school. It stands in a large mature garden, with stunning views over the Axe Valley & to the front & side is open countryside. The property is accessed from a gated drive & provides parking for at least three cars. To the front of the house is a large gravelled area, with cast iron patio furniture, which is ideal for out door dinning & barbeques or just to sit & enjoy the views.

The house has two large bedrooms, one with a four poster bed. The third bedroom is accessed off the main bedroom & so is ideal for young children. The house will sleep four adults, plus two children & one infant in the cot provided. We accept pets & to that end the garden is fenced. The house benefits from a separate WC & a large bathroom with a cast iron roll top bath, both of these are on the ground floor. The kitchen has an electric oven & hob, microwave & washing machine. A freezer is also provided. The dining room has flag stone flooring & an open fireplace. The lounge has wooden flooring and also has a non working open fireplace. Both these rooms, have internal window shutters. There is a large flat screen colour TV, a DVD player, a freeview decoder & Hi Fi in the lounge.

Axminster is located in East Devon as an area of outstanding natural beauty & provides a wealth of outdoor activities as well as being a good location for exploring the rest of the West Country. Axminster town centre is a couple of miles away, it has two supermarkets, a variety of interesting shops, including The River Cottage Canteen. The River Cottage HQ is only a couple of miles away at Rousden, which runs activities throughout the year. Old School House, is ideally situated for the Jurassic Coast a world heritage site, as well as the wonderful East Dorset, coast town of Lyme Regis.

Axminster is situated within East Devon, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty & is considered as the gate way to the Jurassic Coast a World Heritage site. It provides a wealth of outdoor activities as well as being a good location for exploring the rest of the West Country. Axminster town centre is a couple of miles away from the Cottage; it has two supermarkets, a variety of interesting shops, including The River Cottage Canteen. The River Cottage HQ is only a couple of miles away at Rousden, which runs activities throughout the year. A short drive from the Cottage is the wonderful East Dorset, coast town of Lyme Regis an historic unspoiled seaside resort and fishing port, which has been awarded World Heritage Site Status. It boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a sparkling resort for all seasons with its historic Cobb and harbour.

Axminster is conveniently situated few miles inland from the attractive seaside towns of Seaton, Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Westbay, as well as Lyme Regis.The delightful seaside villages of Charmouth, Beer and Branscombe are also within easy reach. Axminster makes a perfect centre from which to explore the unspoilt Jurassic coast and Countryside. With many quaint old villages, the wonderful coast line & its good access for the rest of the West Country, it makes for a wonderful holiday location.
