Situated in Axat, a beautiful village in the foothills of the Eastern Pyrenees, you will be well placed to explore the Cathar Castles, Gorges, Vineyards and Beaches of this area.
The studio had a modern American kitchen with cooker, small fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and all utensils. A spacious area for dining and relaxing including a CD/Ipod player, a double bed with en-suite facilities, including wc, washbasin and large shower.

Parking is approximately 100 mtrs from the studio, but you can unload and load outside. We can offer secure parking for motorbikes if required approximately 1km from the studio. There is a seating area available outside that overlooks the river and local cafe and shops where youc an delight in the smells and sounds of this beautiful village.
In Axat there is a modern and clean lido ideal for whiling away a day with full use of the exceptionally clean water and grounds where you can picnic.
Conditions
A non refundable deposit of 25% of the holiday cost is required to secure a booking
The holiday balance is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival
The holiday cost includes all water, electric, heating, bedding and towels
Changeover day is normally Saturday, but we try to be flexible during the early and late seasons
Arrival time after 4.00pm
Departure time no later than 10.30am

The region of Axat is a great place to visit. Axat can offer you white water rafting, swimming, the famous tourist train where you can travel open air through the vineyards of the Route de Vin all the way to Rivesaltes. The area is popular with fishermen, walkers, birdwatchers, painters, cyclists, horseriders, cavers.
The mediterranean is approximately 1 hours drive from Axat where you will find beautiful unspoilt beaches, watersports and some excellent seafood restaurants. Also 1 hours drive in the opposite direction is the world famous medieval city of Cacassonne which should not be missed.

Things that shouldn't be missed whilst you are here.
Gorges de Galamus. The stunning Cathar Castles of Queribus, Peyrepertuse and Puilaurens are a must see and all within easy access. The thermal spas of Rennes les Bain and Thomas les Bains are again worth a visit.
There are numerous vineyards and caves that are open and more than happy to let you sample there wines.
There are weekly markets throughout the area, Axat has a small one in the village square on a Thursday and there is a very large one a Esperaza on a Sunday which is well worth a wander.
Winter skiing is available a short drive away. The nearest ski resort is Mijanes this a small rural ski sation approx 20km from Axat, you will find the larger ski resorts of Formigueres and Les Angles and Font Romeu approx 40-50km from Axat.
