This extraordinary, multi-level apartment is situated within the historic city walls of Avignon, 100m from the SNCF train station and the ‘Rue de la Republique’, the main shopping centre in town.
On the second floor of a 15th century residence, the apartment was entirely renovated in 2001, providing modern facilities while retaining its ancient character through hand crafted beams and stonework. It is exquisitely decorated and furnished in a combination of both modern and ancient styles. The terrace enjoys a southern exposure and has a largeJacuzzi. Quiet and sunny, it includes air-conditioning and a garage. Professional housekeeping is provided 6 hours weekly

Located in the heart of the walled city of Avignon, this ancient building has been
renovated from top to bottom by its architect-designer-owner.
No expense has been spared and the result is a striking city apartment incorporating traditional Provençal features such as heavy beamed ceilings, antique terra cotta tile floors and exposed stonework with every modern convenience.
It is distinctively furnished with the best of both contemporary and antique pieces.
On the 2nd floor entry is an open-plan living-dining room-kitchen. In the sitting area are two comfortable sofas and glass side tables.
An antique pine table seats six people and the well-equipped kitchen features maple cabinetry and butcher block counters.
On a mezzanine above the living room is a small den with sofa, satellite television and a state of the art music system.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, one with en suite shower.
On the main level is a single bedroom and a full bathroom.
All the bedrooms are well-designed and the bathrooms feature unique mosaic tile work. The crowning touch is a terrace with eating area, Jacuzzi and roof-top views.
Total area of 140m2, on 2 floors, the terrace (10m2) facing south on which there is a big bubbly jacuzzi (1m 10 depth. : 4000 L. )

Our late booking was made easy by the owner, and their repesentative 'Catherine' who greeted us on arrival was a mind of useful tips and recommendations. The two terrace rental had everything we needed and we quickly got used to the spiral staircase entrance. The location could not have been better within the historic town with activity during the day and yet completely quiet at night. Lovely private terrance that could only be made better with the provision of extra comfortable sun loungers. Thoroughly recommend and good for teenagers who require the WIFI internet access 24/7. |

I want to say how much we enjoyed our stay last week. Thank you for all
your help. The apartment was absoluetly lovely and so spacious! The six of
us had plenty of room and it was fantastic to use the terrace and pool in
the hot weather. And the location of the apartment right in the middle of
the beautiful old town of Avignon was so convenient for us to walk to the
shops and the tourist attractions. We loved it so much that we would really
like to come again sometime. Meanwhile, we shall certainly recommend your
apartment to people we meet.

We had a smooth trip back home and try now to get used to our lives in Germany again (not easy after that wonderful time in your beautiful apartment).Let me just tell you in a few words how much we enjoyed our
stay in Avignon.
Over the course of the last years, We've seen many vacation homes. None of them even came close to your apartment in the Theatre des Corps Saints. You found exactly the right mixture between antiques and modern
equipment. Very stylish, very spacious, very comfortable. It was much better than we expected -and in fact, much better than anyone could reasonably expect. As we live in a small village, we were a little bit anxious about the noise of a big city. We wouldn't have needed to be. The apartment was very calm. Like an island of silence in a sea of rushing traffic and honking cars. We really appreciated that everything was within walking distance. We liked the picturesque triangular place des corps saints with its fountain next to the house and the view of the cloister on the other side of the street. And we loved
the terrace! Even when the Mistral was blowing real hard and made people in the streets put on their coats, we could sunbathe and skinny dip in the Jacuzzi in perfect privacy and with no wind at all. It was like a second honeymoon. Finally, let me tell you that we really enjoyed your company and your efforts to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We hadn't intended to stay more than one week, and still, when we left after almost two, we
only did because we had to go back to work. We hope, however, to come back as soon as possible.

Now we have returned to the UK this morning we want to thank you for the use of your splendid apartment at Corps Saints.
It was very good to meet you and her last week. We have once again thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in Avignon and its environs and it was good this time, because of your central location, to be able to walk into the centre of the town, to Les Halles and the main Palace Square. We even managed to go to the Opera on Friday afternoon for the finale of the International Violin Competition.
The weather also didn't disappoint us and we were able to have one breakfast and one lunch outside on the terrace. The apartment itself is very comfortable especially the bedrooms, and I also found it very easy to use all the kitchen utensils and found myself quite at home very quickly.
Once again we made excursions into the Provencal countryside, to Les Baux, to Aix and the trip to Mont Ventoux was outstanding.
And so, we must be back at school tomorrow, but will keep some very good memories.
