The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Vaucluse region
The région of Avignon offer a great variety of natural wonders wich give it an original physiognomy and particulary attractive. Within a few time you can visit the most various sites: Pont du gard, Nimes, Arles, The camargue, Luberon and ventoux, Baux de Provence, St rémy and the Alpilles are close to the town.
The Avignon / Avignon Historic City Centre area
Avignon, a strategic site in the Rhone valley, owes its origine to the Doms rock. With the arrival of the popes in the 14th century, the city became a second Rome. It was enriched by art in th 17tyh and 18th century, and its remained papal property up to the French révolution.
Strolling in the old streets in search of antic dealers and art gallerie, discover its local cuisine in the tea-rooms and the restaurants. Taste the famus Cotes du Rhône, wine of wich Avignon is the Capital.
