Avignon, a strategic site in the Rhone valley, owes its origine to the Doms rock. With the arrival of the popes in the 14th century, the city became a second Rome. It was enriched by art in th 17tyh and 18th century, and its remained papal property up to the French révolution. Strolling in the old streets in search of antic dealers and art gallerie, discover its local cuisine in the tea-rooms and the restaurants. Taste the famus Cotes du Rhône, wine of wich Avignon is the Capital.

Avignon by TGV from London, Paris (2h40) or Marseille. TGV station is at 10 mn by taxi or bus from apartment. There is also another rail station in Avignon centre: 10 mn by foot Avignon by fly from paris. Airport is at 30 mn by taxi from apartment
