The accommodation consists of the whole of the top half of Les Loriots as a 2 bedroom apartment with its own terrace and balconies, plus the downstairs one bedroom apartment with its main large terrace and a smaller one giving onto the pool and the annexe which is a one bedroom apartment with a large terrace. All the main rooms and terraces have superb uninterrupted views over the river and its gorges.

The upstairs two bedroom apartment is approached by its own outside staircase and roof terrace, and the downstairs one bedroom apartment has its own front door downstairs and French doors leading onto a very large terrace with wonderful views of the river just below. The annexe is a one bedroom apartment attached to the house with its own terrace.

The two bedroom apartment is suitable for two couples or a couple and two children, and the one bedroom apartments are ideal for a couple.

All the apartments are light and airy and have just been completely refurbished to a high standard.

The new swimming pool is 11m x 5.5m with sun-loungers and parasols and is open for use at all times. Guests have exclusive use.

The English owners and their two friendly cats and calm dog are very happy to welcome you to this exceptional location.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Vaucluse region

The village of Collias has restaurants, a boulangerie and a local supermarket all within 3 minutes walk of the house. In this area of outstanding natural beauty you can walk for hours along the banks of the Gardon. You can take a picnic and find your own private beach for a swim, on foot, by canoe, or even by bicycle. There are numerous beautiful birds along the river and other wild-life. You can even see beavers if you know where to look.

Avignon / Collias area

The magnificent Pont du Gard which is the largest Roman aqueduct in Europe is just 6 kms east and is accessible by car or canoe. The beautiful 11th century town of Uzes is 12 kms away and boasts among its many lovely old buildings a splendid castle and cathedral. The wonderful Place aux Herbes with its old cafes, shops and restaurants has a Saturday market which is one of the most popular and colourful in the region.

Avignon and Nimes, both beautiful historic towns, are half an hour's drive from the house. Aix-en-Provence and Montpellier, the Camargue and the Mediterranean are all no further than an hour or so away.

The area abounds with festivals, music and cultural events of every kind throughout the summer.

Local activities include cycling, canoeing, riding, golf, tennis, fishing, wine-tasting and many more.

How to get there

Cheap flights available from Ryanair from Stansted,Luton,East Midlands,Liverpool to Nimes,, half an hour by car, and Montpellier, one hour by car, and on British Airways from Gatwick to Montpellier, one hour by car, and there are flights to Marseilles, one and a half hours, and to Nice, three hours

Train and Eurostar go from Waterloo to Avignon TGV (6 hours direct Saturdays, other days change at Lille or Paris Gard du Nord) We are half an hour from Avignon.

Car Hire - Go to google, car hire Nimes Airport/Avignon TGV etc. and reserve a car(advised)

The Two Bedroom Apartment has a spacious Sitting-room/Dining area/Ktchen with satellite TV, video, a large door to the balcony and a dining area for four people. The newly fitted kitchen has dishwasher, washing machine, oven and hob, microwave and a large fridge.

Double bedroom 1 upstairs. The master bedroom has windows with views over the river on two sides, a double bed and large fitted cupboards.

The other upstairs double bedroom two has views over the river from one side, 2 single beds or one double and large fitted cupboards.

The bathroom has a shower/bath, basin, cupboards and an airer to dry clothes.

Separate WC.

Outside is a private roof terrace,with table and chairs for outside eating and sun loungers.

The downstairs one bedroom apartment has a large sitting-room with open plan kitchen and dining area looking onto its own very large terrace which in turn overlooks the river ( the river view picture is taken from`this terrace).

The double bedroom has French doors onto its own terrace with access to the swimming pool just beyond.

The annexe, the other one bedroom apartment, has a large sitting-room/dining area and open plan kitchen, a good double bedroom and separate bathroom and a separate wc.

There are sun-loungers, tables and chairs and parasols on all terraces

Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday Arrivals after mid-day are requested, and departure by 10am on the morning of departure.

All linen and towels are provided.

Six weeks before arrival date the remainder of the full payment is due., on receipt of which a booking confirmation and details of how to get here will be sent. Payment should be in Euros via Paypal, Transfrontaliere, or by direct transfer from a euro-currency bank to our bank in France. Other methods can be considered.
