Aviemore itself is an ideal location for exploring the Highlands. Inverness is a half hour drive away, with access to shops, cinema, theatre and public baths. In the Aviemore area there are numerous activities for any age and any ability. Golfing, on the beautiful Strathspey Course, and fishing are popular in summer months, skiing this year (2010) has been one of the best seasons yet, mountain biking, walking, climbing, a new cinema, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, Loch Insh water sports, ... and so the list goes on. Landmark is less than fifteen minutes drive away - a fun filled morning or afternoon for the family.
