About this location
The Famagusta District
Hop in the hire car (take a bus or call a cab if you fancy a few drinks) and head South, and you will be on the beautiful South Coast road in 10-15 minutes. Along this road you will find fabulous sea food restaurants and beautiful beaches such as Makronissos beach , Nissi beach, Konnos beach and Fig Tree Bay. And of course, the lively club land that is Ayia Napa.
Head North from Avgorou and within 10 minutes you will be at border crossing to the Turkish controlled Northern area of Cyprus. There are many places of interest to see in the North, but you will need to makes sure that your car hire Company insures your car to cross the border. If not, then we may be able to help by arranging private car hire or a guided tour of the North.
Avgorou is a small farming village situated in the Famagusta area in the South Eastern area of Cyprus. The soil in Avgorou is very fertile and dark red in colour. This soil makes Avgorou one of the main agriculture and animal farming areas in Famagusta.
The people of Avgorou cultivate a variety of potatoes, breadstuffs like barley, carrots, vegetables, locust trees, olive trees and some fruit trees. All of these products can be found in the local supermarkets and restaurants. We recommend wrapping potatoes in foil and popping on the BBQ for an hour - amazing!
There are plenty of Supermarkets, corner shops, bars, restaurants and banks with cashpoint facilites in and around Avgorou village. The village centre is a leisurely 10 minute walk from the Villa.

"Lovely villa with excellent facilities for singletons, couples or families"
A lovely well presented clean and modern villa located just outside the sleepy village of Avgorou. The locals we met all very polite and friendly. We would recommend a car as slightly isolated if you are planning to see more of the island.
We had an enjoyable week on our first time in Cyprus.

We always stay in private villas when on holiday and can honestly say that this one is the best we have ever stayed in, a real home from home. The attention to detail, decoration, kitchen equipment and all other aspects of the villa is second to none. Everything you could possibly want or need. The local rep "Leftaris" was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again here when returning to Cyprus.

"What a gem!"
The excellent instructions to get to the villa made the journey from Larnaca airport very easy and within a matter of minutes of arriving it felt like home. Everything that you would require for your stay was available, including a very useful welcome pack as our flight was delayed. The villa was very clean, the beds comfortable and the pool great after travelling for half a day getting there.
For us the location was perfect, on the edge of a nice, quiet, Cypriot village, but still close enough to the high-life, towns and beaches, if you wished to visit these.
The local rep, Lefteris, was first class. Turned out he knew where someone I had not seen for 35 years lived, which enabled us to have a unexpected re-union. I cannot thank him enough and shall miss our chats.
Everyone we met in the village was friendly and while shopping at Lidl or the Metro is slightly cheaper it was great fun trying out the rusty Greek in the local shops, though we did end up with more meat than expected at the butchers. Luckily there is a BBQ at the villa and this was extensively used.
If you want to experience the real side of Cypriot lifestyle, enjoy some peace and quiet, but occasionally want to let your hair down, this is the place. The biggest problem is leaving it all behind and coming home.

"home from home full of sunshine."
We booked this villa as it was only 5 mins away from where my brother lives, this proved to be an excellent choice as the villa was all i could have wished for, lots of out door space to enjoy the BBQ, drinks & pool and the inside was imaculate.
The owner Bob was very helpful from start to finish and even helped with our airport transfer, Lefterasis greeted us at the villa on arrival and gave us all the info we needed to explore the village and as he owned a local coffee bar we made good use of this too - a great fella.
The village is a 5 min walk and has a selection of supermarkets, places to eat, a splendid bakery and fine pub, i would recomend hiring a car if you want to explore further afield.
We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay and i'd fully recomend the villa and local village if its a relaxing hoilday you are looking for.

"Perfect two weeks of relaxation and traquility"
Had a fantastic, restful two weeks in Avgorou. Weve visited Avgorou before and it was lovely to be back. The villa was fantastic, providing absolutely everything you could ask for. Our teenage son made good use of the wifi and satellite tv for wimbledon. We would definately recommend the villa. Dont forget to hire a car though so you can drive around the lovely tavernas for dinner. We love Cyprus!
