"A great place to laze around in, or tour from"

We stayed here for two weeks and had a great time. The villa itself is extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. There were seven adults in our party but we always felt we had bags of room. The pictures on the website don't do full justice to the overall impression "on the ground".
We stayed in mid September when the temperature had dropped to the low thirties! The owners, Ralph and Judith were very welcoming and were only a phone call away in case we needed anything - we didn't but it was nice to see them every now and then. Needless to say, the pool was in constant use as was the large patio area. There was plenty of outdoor furniture and shady areas if we wanted to get out of direct siulight. Evenings brought amazing sunsets over the mountains on the far side of the valley.
We agree that having your own transport is a must. The village is only a 15/20 minute stroll but, hey, after a meal and a few drinks? Getting to to Naples took about an hour on the excelllent road system but we'd advise you give the Amalfi coast road a miss on the weekend unless you enjoy hair raising drives! You can easily get to autostradas going N, S and W too.
I could go on but I thing you'll have got the idea by now that we thought it was a great place , and the locals are very friendly too.

"Beautifully presented 'home away from home'"

We have rented villas in various parts of Italy. This 'home away from home' is a beautiful house. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and everything you could possibly need is provided by Ralph and Judith, who were truly excellent hosts. The villa is in a very quiet residential area and the lovely little town of Montefalcione is but a walk away. This was an ideal base to visit Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, Naples, Vesuvius etc
