Soulou is a recently renovated detached period property perched peacefully overlooking the River Lot in a particularly attractive and unspoilt section of this spectacular valley. It has its own access to the river where you can swim or watch the wildlife.

The cottage is comfortably furnished and has a well equipped kitchen.

The accommodation includes: entrance to large open-plan living area with 3-piece suite, dining table and chairs, digital UK TV, telephone, log burning stove (logs supplied). The fitted kitchen area houses a refrigerator, electric cooker with gas hob and a microwave. Also downstairs a bathroom has shower, WC and wash basin. French windows lead out to a veranda with stunning views overlooking the river, with table and chairs enabling al fresco eating.

Upstairs one bedroom has a double bed and the other has twin beds. There is a family bathroom with bath, WC and wash basin.

Duvets, linen and towels are provided. There is washing machine is in the cellar. The 6 metre oval swimming pool is built into the rock in a very sheltered position and has a small decking area for sun bathing.

There are several terraces at differing levels to make full use of the sunny position. A barbecue and garden furniture are provided for al fresco meals. The area around the property abounds with wildlife. Red kite nest just across the river and deer and even wild pigs have been seen in the vicinity of the cottage.

The cottage is approached by a long flight of steps making it possibly unsuitable for the elderly or infirm.

The property is within 20 minutes walking distance of the village of Vieillevie which has two restaurants and a recently reopened local store which sells fresh bread and croissants daily and has an internet cafe. Entraygues and Montsalvy are both 8 miles away. In the other direction along the river and 5 minute drive away is Grande Vabre where apart from local stores and restaurants there is a garage for fuel.

Many of our visitors return regularly here for the cosiness and position of this valley side retreat.
