About the home

Beautiful 170m2 traditional Provencal Villa newly renovated and located within a 3,600m2 garden. The villa offers a large 5x10m swimming pool and private location, yet it is just a short 5 min walking distance to the village of Aups, which has been voted one of the top 10 villages in the Region.

Close to the Lac de St Croix and Grand Canyon of Verdon (10km). St Maxime, St Tropez, Cannes, Nice, Marseille are all within 1h to 1:30h drive, and the nearest beach is St Raphael/Frejus (60km)

Four (4) spacious bedrooms, including one with en suite bathroom (wash basin), one with direct access to the garden/pool, as well as a room with two single beds well adapted for children.

The leaving room is open to the veranda and has a log fire for the winter visitors.

The kitchen is of traditional style with new oven, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine but also a useful dishwasher

Spacious garage.

The main attraction will be the large 5x10m swimming pool which has been integrated into a matured private garden of 3,600m2, with olive trees, fruit trees (figs, apples, cherries) as well as a few bigger trees which will offer shade for a quiet “siesta”.

From the house, you can leave the car in the garage and start your journey in the country side or towards the small roads of the Village, stopping for some shopping or a well deserve aperitif (pastis).

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region

The Green Province (Provence Verte) is the heart of the Var region in Provence, South of France. The region is superb, with picturesque countryside and lovely small villages which you will discover as you driving along the small and quiet roads. Local vineyards produce excellent well-known wines, which you can taste at various domaines as you go around the region.

The people have a soft singing accent and live life at a relaxed pace. You can admire the stunning scenery, including olive trees, lavender fields and many flowers which vary depending of the season. On your way, you will find shade and small restaurant terraces under the typical platane trees, perfect for enjoying a quick drink.

This green province is midway between the sea and the Alps, close to the splendid turquoise Verdon Lake and all its beautiful surroundings and nautical activities, as well as the village of Moustiers with its famous potteries.

Along the coast, which starts only 60km away, one should not forget Cassis and the boat tour along the little cliffs, or the boat ride between Sainte Maxime and Saint Tropez. If one visits Marseille and its port, this should be an opportunity to taste their famous bouillabaisse (fish soup specialty). Or Cannes and its summer film festival, Avignon, Monte Carlo Principality, Gordes (one of the most beautiful place), Cavaillon, the waterfall from Sillan La Cascade

The Aups area

Aups has a long and rich history, with some buildings and construction dating from the 14th century. The village is in a strategic location and known as the main village of the high Var (le Haut Var). Despite being just a village, you will find almost everything you might need, including excellent medical care. With only 2,000 inhabitants, the village more than doubles its population in summer thanks to a worldwide reputation.

Visitors enjoy discovering the secrets of all the small roads from the village which bring you to many vibrant places, restaurants and cafés. As soon as you move out of the centre of the village you find yourself surrounded by lavender fields and many olive trees. Of course one should visit the region's typical & colourful markets, and try the tasty local food products, ie. cheese, fruits, vegetables, and not to forget the Truffles of Aups.
