It has a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area with a table that comfortably seats 12 people, a cosy snug, with wood burning stove and a second television, and a huge 50 foot reception room on the first floor with wonderful views over our meadow.
The prperty has 5 double bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms, two of which are ensuite shower rooms. All the rooms can be configured as either twins or with a super king sized double. Two bedrooms have a third single bed in place.
Aunby is a peaceful hamlet just north of Stamford, Lincolnshire. Ideally placed for access to Stamford, Peterborough and Bourne.
The Cottage is in a rural location, with wildflower and lake.
There is ample parking, internet access and the property is fully furnished and extremely cosy.

The Rutland region
Aunby lies in gently rolling Lincolnshire countryside and makes an ideal base for one of the many walks in the area, proximity to Rutland Water and all the facilities on offer there is a great benefit, as is of course the wonderful old stone town of Stamford. Tolethorpe open air theatre is a couple of miles away, as is Burghley House. We can arrange tours of Burghley, Grimsthorpe, Rockingham Castle and Belvoir Castle, for those interested in the local great houses
Stamford is one of Britain's finest stone built market towns, which retains much of its medieval street pattern. Stamford has featured in many historical films including George Eliot's Middlemarch, and more recently in Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice. The town was on the old coaching route from London to Edinburgh and so boasts many fine coaching inns. The town has 11 churches, 30 pubs and 20 restaurants.
Stamford is also home to Burghley House, regarded by many as the finest Elizabethan House in England. Burghley House was built in the 16th century by William Cecil. There are lots of special events throughout the year including the internationally famous horse trials. Recently it was used extensively by the film makers of the Da Vinci Code.
Lincolnshire is located in the heart of the country - gently rolling hills that give way to the fens - lovely old stone towns and quiet villages - for a taste of England in an often overlooked part of the world, Stamford is hard to beat
