Home description

The house is situated on the river Bresle which lies to the far east of Normandy. You have trout fishing rights on the river while staying at the property, subject to obtaining a licence from the local shop. The nearest town is Aumale ( 5 minutes drive ) which has a local market on a Saturday or Blangy which has a market on Sunday.

The Normandy / Seine-Maritime region

This rich green countryside produces some wonderful local delights, Apple tart with cream, wonderful cheeses and of course local cider.
There are many War memorials and museums in the area to explore.
Disneyland Paris will only take you 1½ hours to drive or you could pop to Paris for a spot of shopping.


Aumale area

Plenty of local shops to meet your needs, a great cheese shop, chocolate shop and of course serveral bakers in the town. Also there is a larger supermarket just on the outskirts of the town.

DON'T FORGET YOU MUST PURCHASE A FISHING LICENCE TO FISH IN THE RIVER.


How to get there

Take the Ferry or the Tunnel, it will then take about 1½ hours by car from Calais slightly less from Bologne.
