The Aughrim area
Located midway between Dublin and Rosslare, Askanagap Country Cottage is central to a wide range of family activities making it the ideal base for touring the popular east coast.
The surrounding countryside gives the visitor an opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of country life, while all the amenities required are available within easy reach in the surrounding towns and villages. There are lovely seating areas outdoors while a real turf fire makes for a cosy night in.
Children will enjoy the freedom of a visit to Clara Lara childrens funpark, Greenane Farm Museum & Maze, Glenroe Farm, Brittas Bay's sandy beach or Avondale House and Forest Park.There is a choice of many excellent golf courses in the area as well as several blue flag beaches along the coast. Pamper yourself with a visit to The Wells Spa at The Brook Lodge Hotel just 3 miles away in Macreddin village, while the seaside town of Arklow has a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants including the new Bridgewater Centre and is the ideal place for a holiday shopping trip.
