Our first floor apartment is situated in a converted wine warehouse minutes away from the harbour in Audierne. The apartment consists of a large main sitting room with a dining area. It is comfortably furnished throughout. There are two newly decorated bedrooms, a new bathroom and separate toilet. The fully fitted new kitchen includes a breakfast bar and stools.
Outside is a small terrace set against a steeply sloping shrubbery. A dedicated parking space is available at the front of the building. There is a lovely small sandy beach just 12-15 minutes walk away, whilst main beach is 20 mins walk and coastal and river walks and the stunning Pointe de Raz are all within an easy drive. Local shops and the indoor market are just a short walk away. There are two large supermarkets in the area. Saturday morning market is very popular and takes over most of the harbour area. Don’t miss out on the wonderful choice of fish, mussels, lobster and crepes, which are specialities of the area, and are all available locally. There are a wide variety of restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes and pockets.

The large comfortable living room/dining room is well furnished and equipped and has ample storage space. The hallway contains a large built in wall cupboard and leads to the other rooms. There is a step up into the separate WC and a step up into the main bedroom.
The new bathroom is equipped with bath, shower, bidet, heated towel rail and washbasin. The large main bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables, a dressing table and wardrobe. The smaller bedroom contains two single beds, dressing table, extra drawers and a built in wardrobe. A cot is available in the main bedroom as well as a high chair.
Clean bed linen and towels are supplied. (Linen not available for cot.) There is electric heating in all main rooms.
The recently installed kitchen is fully equipped and has a large breakfast bar with four high stools.

The secluded patio terrace has a table and four chairs and is secure for small children.
The location of the apartment makes it ideal to access the main bars, shops, beaches and restaurants of Audierne, without the need for a car.

The Brittany region
Finistere is on the west coast of Brittany and is notable for its extensive coastline. The coast is mostly rugged and unspoilt and hosts many sandy beaches and resorts. With the coastline dominating the area, fabulous seafood is the local speciality, accompanied by a nice wine or some delicious Breton cider.
Surfing , fishing and sailing are the main leisure activities in the area while coastal and inland walks are also popular.
The Plougastel area is where the best strawberries in France are grown. Concarneau, with its medieval fortress and Pont Aven with links to Gauguin are all within easy reach. Further away, Carnac is famous for its prehistoric stones, dating from about 2000 BC.
Inland, the countryside is quiet and accessible with many small towns and villages with their ancient churches and houses. The area is also a haven for wildlife, especially around the coastal areas.

Audierne is situated about 30 km west of Quimper, at the mouth of the river Goyen. It boasts a fine harbour for its traditional fishing boats and a marina for yachts and various leisure craft. Most of its shops, restaurants and cafes are around the harbour area. There is an aquarium and aqua-show and a leisure centre nearby with an indoor swimming pool. There is a small beach just minutes away and a larger beach about 1km from the harbour. Away from the centre it is quite hilly with lots of interesting houses in its backstreets.
Breton culture and language is strong and Pont Croix, a medieval cite, is just 6Kms up the river Goyen.
The main ancient town of Finistere is Quimper, with its quaint old houses and Cathedral, is about 45 minutes away by car. Quimper has many shops, restaurants and nightclubs, and is famous for its Faience pottery.
Going west from Audierne is the legendary Pointe de Raz with its magnificent sea views and cliffs. Brest, Locronan, Douarnenez and Pont Croix are all within easy reach of Audierne.
For those who are more active, surfing, fishing, sailing and cycling are all available. Visitors wishing to visit the Ile de Sein can utilise the regular boat trips from Audierne.

"Everything you could possibly wish for!"

"Lovely, comfortable, well-furnished central apartment"
This was a great apartment. We felt really at home and the little sunny patio was a bonus as was the Wifi. The town is just a minute's walk away and the most wonderful bakery (people were queuing down the street it was that good) is even closer. The harbour area is lovely and there are plenty of festivals and markets, something almost every night to keep us entertained. Also great fish shop again just minutes away. Such a reasonable price, really good value and the owner is very helpful.
