Guests are greeted by Brian, the host and are familiarised with the apartment's features, operation of appliances and equipment.
Brian and his wife Clare live on site in the apartment at the rear of the property and is available should guests need assistance. Having travelled very extensively himself, he is very happy to help with calling a taxi or providing directions etc.
McGrigors is located in Ponsonby and is central to all downtown Auckland points of interest.
Excellent public transport is only meters away.
Ponsonby is the happening heart of Auckland with over 150 restaurants, bars and world renowned designer fashion houses.
The Ponsonby Central complex, only 200 yards from the front door of the apartment, has a selection of restaurants, cafes and a great fresh fruit and vegetable market.
Auckland's CBD, ferries and the Viaduct waterfront are only a 10 minute bus ride or an enjoyable 25 minute walk, which takes you past the newly developed Victoria Park Markets on the way, with a wide selection of interesting shops.
Closer to home in Douglas Street – just a few doors away, you can get your morning coffee at the ultra-cool Coffee Supreme café.
Public transport is excellent.
The Inner Link bus runs along Ponsonby road every 15 minutes - You can catch it at the top of the street to Downtown Auckland, Queen Street, the Harbour Ferry Building, Viaduct Harbour, Parnell, and Newmarket for High Street shopping, Auckland Museum, Art Gallery, Auckland University and Auckland Hospital - all only a few minutes by bus.
