Atri area

Set on a hill and not far from the Adriatic Sea, the town of Atri preserves an important architectural and artistic heritage, such as the wonderful Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral with the most important Renaissance cycle of paintings in Abruzzo, the Chapter-house Museum and the cloister. Moreover the town shows traces of its thousand-year-old history in many other buildings and churches of the greatest artistic interest.. Don’t miss the panorama from the Belvedere. Just outside Atri, it is possible to visit the protected area, recently established as a Natural Reserve (2 km) characterised by typical erosion furrows, caused by wind and water. A path from the nearby “Colle della Giustizia” enables visitors to go on short walks around the erosion furrows. The town offers a variety of summer attractions and amusements such as music festivals, theatre and gastronomic events.

Villa "Il Pioppo" is 28 km from the Abruzzo Airport in the city of Pescara with daily flights from/to London Stansted (see cheap flights on www. ryanair.com).

The villa is composed of 4 bedrooms, three of which are located on the main floor while the fourth is in a converted loft, a large living room area, three bathrooms, a kitchen and dining room, a small studio and a solarium.
Kitchen and living room are interconnecting and big windows in the living room allow to see the beautiful panorama outside. Two double rooms and one twin room are on the ground floor and one more twin room is located in the converted loft with a bathroom and a nice solarium where it is possible to sunbathe in a complete privacy. On the same floor there is also a small studio.

Further details outdoors:
The house is set in a nice garden embellished with flowerbeds and small fruit trees. The garden is equipped with a beach umbrella, a bench and two deckchairs for the moments of rest and relax. Moreover there is a nice small pergola with two stone benches and a table in the shade which is an ideal corner for reading or just relaxing in a total quiet, with external lighting.

There is also a parking area where guests can safely leave their vehicles. The porch on the left side of the house is provided with a table, which accommodates six people, and a barbecue, and it is the best place for meals in the evening. The small porch on the right side of the house is also provided with a garden table and chairs and, thanks to its position in the shade, is the ideal place for lunch.

Further details

The bedroom in the converted loft can be used only when the group of guests exceeds the number of six people, but guests are allowed to use the solarium.
