This is a quiet location but within walking distance to a local bar and resturant and 10 minutes from Oistins where you will find shops and supermaket. St Lawrence gap is 15 minutes away where there are night clubs, bars, and restaurants.

Master bedroom has a dressing area and en-suite, second bedroom has en-suite and a separate family bathroom, All bedrooms have ceiling fans and a/c, full size kitchen with hob, microwave, dishwasher, American fridge freezer, oven, washing machine, fully equipped.

There is a secluded beach 2 minutes east of the apartment and Miami Beach (possibly one of the islands best beaches on the south) is a 3 minute drive to the west.

The properties are managed via an agent that will be on hand to assist with any matters and will meet and greet you upon your arrival. The apartment is one of similar properties in a small complex located on the first floor.

The views from the balcony, lounge and master bedroom are stunning with 180 degree panorama of the sea. This is an ideal location for surfing and wind surfing with the South Point Beach a 10 minute drive away.

The two local golf courses to the apartment are Barbados an 18 hole and Rockley 9 hole, both of these are within 15 minute drive.

The gardens and communal pool are maintained by a management company along with communal tumble driers.

Please note no a/c to main lounge ceiling fan only but plenty of sea breeze with the patio side and rear door open!

The Christ Church Parish region

Seaside Drive runs along the coast in Atlantic Shores in the parsh of Christ Church and the apatment fronts the sea. The area has restaurants, shops, bars, golf course, stunning beaches and is a short drive from the airport.

Enjoy the island renowned "fish fry friday" celebrations at the fish market at Oistins which is a 10 minute drive or a healthy walk. On Friday evening you will see hundreds of locals and tourist eat a fish supper and dance to live music and a disco until the early hours.

Depending on the time of year you visit there is live music at Steve's Bar which is a short walk from the apartment. It is also a fantstic place to go for an early evening rum puch and watch the turtles in the sea.

Crop over is a festival of the harvests and is filled with carabben carnival and live music at various venues in Bridgetown and the the villages and is normally late July

Atlantic Shores

Barbados is a stunning carabbean island and has something for everyone however you will need a car to explore it all. There is a diverse difference in landscape between the various coasts to the wild monkeys located in the country side and the ubandant sea life Barbados is a great island to explore.

Warm friendly locals with the stunning colours of the sea and island life make any carabbean vacation and experience to remember.

"An amazing apartment overlooking the Caribbean Sea"

This apartment in the upmarket area of Atlantic Shores is very impressive in every way. It is very spacious, well equipped and overlooks the stunning Caribbean Sea from a very large balcony. It was so relaxing falling asleep and waking up to the sound and sight of the ocean from the master suite. We even saw turtles swimming from the balcony. Our family have stayed in Barbados many times over the years and Rosalie is the best of the bunch for a very reasonable price in a good location close to many outstanding beaches. I would recommend car hire to explore this stunning island. It is very professionally run and Diana, the housekeeper, was wonderful and looked after us very well. I would without hesitation recommend this apartment 100 per cent as it has everything one would wish for to make your holiday very special.

"Beautiful"

We stayed at Rosalie number 5 for our second trip to barbados. The location is excellent. Only about a 5 minute drive from Miami Beach and 2 minutes from Surfer's Bay beach bar.

Jean was a total star. Very pleasant and helpful. She met us at the airport and was accessible and full of great advice.

The apartment itself was very clean and incredibly well stocked. Coolers were provided to take to the beach which was awesome. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious. And the view from the terrace was spectacular. We ate breakfast every morning looking out on the ocean.

If there was one thing i could change, it would be to have a shower curtain around the lovely tub in the master en suite.
But we just ended up using one of the other bathrooms.

We had a wonderful time and will be returning next year!

"Excellent Value"

We have stayed in Barbados every year for the last ten years but this was the first time we have based ourselves on the South Coast.

Over the years we have stayed in more luxurious properties, and we have stayed in arguably more conveniently located ones, but Rosalie Number Five is without doubt the best value apartment we have stayed in.

The apartment itself is very spacious, well equipped, and exactly as described if not better.

The views are spectacular, and the only noise you can hear is that of the sea. A similar seafront location, in an apartment of this size and quality would be three or four times the price on the West Coast. Ok there is no beach right outside Rosalie, but there is a small one within 400m, and Miami beach (my personal favourite beach on the whole island, and that of my kids) is just 5 minutes in the car so this didn't really bother us (if it had we wouldn't have booked!).

I would say a car is pretty much essential. You could walk to the beaches/shops if you were that way inclined, but a hire car makes everything so much more convenient. Southern Rentals (as recommended by the owner) sorted us out a motor within a couple of hours when we called him from the apartment on arrival, and at a competitive price.

Another recommendation from the owner was "Steve's Bar" although I think it's official name is Surfers Bay Bar. Five minutes walk from the apartment, delightful laid back spot overlooking the sea, friendly staff, cheap-ish drinks (especially during Happy Hour) and decent simple food. A million miles away from some of the posher places on the island, and all the better for it.

Finally the owner of the apartment (Simon) was very helpful, as were his representatives on the island. Everything was stress free and as described which is exactly what you want when on holiday.

If you are looking for a place in the South of Barbados Rosalie Apartment 5 gets a big thumbs up from this very satisfied visitor.

"Spectacular!"

Our family travelled to Barbados to attend a family wedding over Christmas. We have been on many family trips and this was voted hands down as the very best.
The apartment itself is lovely and spacious and has spectacular views of the ocean. We enjoyed the pool every morning following our run along Seaside Drive.
Our 19 year old son loved the surfing at South Point, just a short walk down the road. There is a lovely small beach a short walk away and Miami Beach is a little further (half hour walk) and extremely beautiful for swimming. We bought lots of fresh fish at the Fish Market in Oistins and learned the Bajan way of cooking it. The owner of the apartment and his on-site support team were absolutely fabulous in sharing information, making us feel welcome and ensuring our stay was perfect. We have never returned to the same vacation destination before but are already booked for a return visit to beautiful Barbados and Number 5 Rosalie!!!

Thank you for your review - You appear to have failed to mention the following:

1. We always encourage guestes to rent a car - but utlimately it is the guests choice.
2. We arranged collection from the airport at short notice to accoummadate your lack of arranged travel management at no extra charge.
3. We do not state that there is a/c working in the lounge and being on the sea front there is plenty of breeze from the sea when the doors are open saving you the guest the cost of the power. There is a large ceiling fan in the lounge for dining in.

We note and thank you for your other comments but ultimately it is our holiday home offered for rent at a competative price for its location.


As you are aware we were very accommadating with you regarding payment terms as you were travelling from Australia which you appear to have not mentioned.

"Stunning Accommodation in the most Perfect Location"

The Holiday was the best I think I have EVER been on. The property is light, airy and beautiful. Set on the sea front we could watch the turtles swim by with a rum punch in hand whilst slowly watching the sunset colour the sky with the most beautiful colours.

the location to the local fish fry, beaches and surfers bar were perfect from the apartment with either a short walk or car ride to get there. Though we had a car and found it very useful we also discovered that you can rent bikes (which is a lovely way to explore the island) or instead of hiring a car for the entire holiday you are given the option of hiring one for a day.

Though we visited the rest of the island on our stay there was nothing better than returning to Atlantic shores and being so close to the restaurants, bars, clubs and beautiful beaches it had on offer.

most definitely the perfect accommodation in the best position on the island. I am already planning my next trip and will hopefully stay in this beautiful apartment again.
