Apartments EP12 are located in a wonderful fully renovated Bauhaus building, with access to a roof garden that offers views of the Parthenon.

Our apartments are fully equipped and offer free wifi, tv/dvd/cd, all mod. cons. … and free drinks on the roof garden!

Apartment EP1 has a king size double bed that can be set up as two king size singles, a made for sleeping sofa bed and we may add a fold out bed. EP2 has a double bed, a made for sleeping sofa bed and we may add a fold out bed. There is an interlocking door, which when open they create a big apartment. This building is heritage listed so an elevator is not allowed. Access is by an old marble and iron stair case.

The apartments are situated in a quiet street of the old neighbourhood of Psirri. Psirri is full of vibrant night life, cafes, tavernas and outdoor cinemas.

Within minutes walk you enter a beautiful pedestrian walkway that allows you to amble in the historical city centre, visit the Acropolis, eat at the lively area of Psirri or walk in picturesque Plaka.

Excellent public transport (the Monastiraki metro station and the Thission electric railway station) is also within minutes walk.

We can also assist you by organising our trusted taxi driver Mihalis, to pick you up from the airport arrivals hall and bring you straight to the apartment. Mihalis will wait for you in the arrivals hall no matter how long you may be delayed. He will bring you straight to the apartment.

We chose him as he travels at the speed limit, doesn't use a mobile phone while driving and speaks English. I highly suggest you use him. He costs 45 e for the journey from the airport if your journey starts before 10pm and 60 e if it begins after 10pm and before 5am.

We receive no commission. (Taxis in Greece can carry up to 4 passengers. We can also offer minivan transfer).

Once you get to the apartment, we will be there to meet you and take you on a short tour of the neighbourhood so you can get your bearings.

We also provide our guests with our own Locals Guide. It describes and shows you how to get to some of our favourite local hidden shops, cafes, museums and galleries. On the guide we have included the Co ordinates which are displayed on an English worded map that we also provide. The street signs in Athens are all in Greek and English, which means that with the "Locals Guide" and the map you can easily explore all of inner city Athens and find great places that few will.

Athens

Psirri is one of the last old neighbourhoods in Athens. A place with a distinctive character as it still has small artisan shops. Amongst them you will find ecclesiastical candle makers, leather shoe craftsmen, sieve makers, leather bag craftsmen and all kinds of other small shops.

Psirri has a number of old traditional tavernas, some with live music, where you can see people standing up spontaneously to dance. Around your apartment you will also find some of the most interesting contemporary art galleries in Europe and some of the best museums in Greece.

Psirri is right next door to Monastiraki, Plaka and all the main sites.

"Incredible inside but not a great neighbourhood"

I was arranging a holiday with a number of friend and we were all going to be in Athens together so we saw this place and though it looks to good to be true. It fitted us all in, 4 single adults with … More

Dear guests

We were glad you loved the apartments and also disappointed you were not comfortable with the inner city of Athens.

Athens is certainly a diverse mix of people. And when you get to know it, you understand that being in Athens, a city with many people of different colour, race and religion, there is no need to feel uncomfortable.

We love our neighbours who are now living in Athens. They come from all over the world and create a new and diverse type of vibrant energy to our city.

In our immediate area we have many galleries, theatres, tavernas, churches and an amazing array of small specialist shops.

The area where you stayed is still a neighbourhood. People who live there have lived in this area for a lifetime.

Athens, a city of approximately 5 000 000 people is one of the safest cities in the world. Comments on how safe Athens is you can see in Lonely Planet “Athens has its fair share of the problems found in all major cities but is considered one of the safest capitals in Europe” or Rough Guide “Greece is one of Europe's safest countries, with a low crime rate and a deserved reputation for honesty. Most of the time if you leave a bag or wallet at a café, you'll probably find it scrupulously looked after, pending your return”.

We hope you get to come back and explore our amazing city again.

All the best and happy travels.
