About the home

This stunning fully furnished 2 or 3 bedroom, 2 or 3 bath vacation rental underwent a complete renovation in 2006 and features two large, spacious bedrooms plus an optional "lock-off" studio suite with its own private full bathroom.

The master bedroom sleeps 3 guests in one King size bed and one twin size bed. The en suite bath features a spahydromassage shower and jacuzzi style whirlpool tub. The fireplace bedroom sleeps 4 guests in one Queen and two twins and offers plenty of closet space as well as direct access to the wraparound balcony.
The lock-off studio offers an additional Queen bed for two guests, a private bath with spa hydromassage shower, a pullman kitchen with coffee maker, and direct access to our stunning terrace.

The fully furnished gourmet kitchen is equipped for quick breakfasts or full meals. Our guests enjoy the numerous small appliances and full size dishwasher, as well as the full size clothes washer and dryer.
A computer is provided to help you keep in touch with loved ones who you haven't brought along, or use our free high speed wireless internet connection with your own laptop to check email and surf the internet for the most current information on the tourist attractions in Athens and beyond. Stay in touch with friends and family in the US, Canada, the UK, France and Italy with free unlimited international long distance phone service!

After a day at the archeological sites, relax on the roof terrace with an ouzo and some mezedes will the sun sets over the Acropolis. After dark, explore the nightlife along Imittou or in Kolonaki, or take a taxi down to the waterfront to join the locals as they stroll along Falero Harbor.
Are you a night owl? Athens at night begins late, and if a Greek nightclub is in your plans, our residential downtown neighborhood offers several options.

If you have brought along the kids, perhaps you prefer the movies? We are across the street and next door to two indoor theaters, and a few blocks from two outdoor theaters where you can picnic under the stars watching the latest releases. Lucky for the English speaking crowd most new releases are in English, with Greek subtitles!

Our Acropolis View terrace is point central for our relaxing guests. Relax in the outdoor living room overlooking the Parthenon and the Acropolis along with the rest of the city skyline or fire up the bbq for a mixed grill or traditional Greek "paidakia" (lamb chops!). Catch some rays on one of the sunbeds or enjoy a frappe or glass of wine in the late afternoon.
And although we have a fully stocked kitchen, if you don't feel like cooking there's lots of options for food delivery so you can enjoy a prepared Greek feast al fresco.

Further details

Minimum stay 3 consecutive nights, although occasionally we may find ourselves with a "hole" in our calendar, so feel free to ask about 2 night stays, but please, don't be upset if we just can't offer it.
We do require that the primary renter of our property be 25 years or older, and valid ID and major credit card are required.
A 500 euro reservation deposit holds your dates with the balance due 60 days prior to arrival.
We accept payment by most major credit cards as well as bank wires and, from our US guests, personal checks on US bank accounts when booked more than 60 days in advance of arrival.

Conditions

Remember that our homes book up pretty far in advance, particularly between April - October. Off season is a great time to visit Athens: January and February are shopping season, with lots of sales around the city, and don't forget that the winters in Athens are pretty mild, perfect for exploring the many sites the city has to offer without busloads of tourists.

The best beds in Athens

The Attica region

Explore Attica, Delphi, the Peloponnese, and the islands all from your comfortable home base in Athens. Why both packing and unpacking when you can venture out to the port of Pireaus and catch a flying dolphin to Hydra or Aegina and be back in your own comfortable bed that night?

Delphi is a great day trip, visit the lovely mountain village of Arahova en route - we can even arrange a driver for your trip, or help you reserve a car and do it on your own with our provided maps! The Argoloid peninsula is the perfect day trip for everyone: Archeology, beaches, wineries and great food, make this a day to please everyone, while getting you back to your comfortable Sealy bed that night.

The Athens / Plaka, Athens area

Historical and modern Athens at your feet! While the historical centre is just a 10 - 15 minute walk from the penthouse, en route you will pass the Old Olympic Stadium, Hadrien's Arch and the Temple of Zeus, Syntagma Square and the changing of the guard in from of the Parliment. You can also visit the President and Prime Minister's homes en route to Syntagma, and join the Evzones as they march to their positions in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier!!

Trendy and chic Kolonaki is located just a 10 minute walk from the penthouse, and en route you might want to visit the National Art Gallery, the Byzantine Museum, the War Museum (great for airplane enthusiasts!), the Benaki Museum and the Museum of Cycladic Art.

At your feet is the vibrant Imittou shopping district. A double wide, boulevard type street, with one side pedestrian, is lined with trees and cafes and is the place for an afternoon "volta" with the locals. Two indoor movie houses and two outdoor movie theaters, for summer films under the stars. Cafes and restaurans, great shopping and even three farmer's markets each week make this the perfect home away from home in the centre of Athens.

We're located in downtown Athens, about 30 minutes by car from the Athens International Airport, 15 minutes by car from the port. While most of our guests opt to let us take care of their transfers, you can reach us by metro, we're a short walk from the Evangelismos metro station - a direct line from the airport.

For guests who want to explore outer Attica or Delphi, we can recommend several nearby car rental companies that will bring your car to you or we can connect you with a fabulous driver which leaves you free to enjoy the sites.

“All the comforts of home in a great location” The rooftop garden with barbecue, views of sunrise/sunset was tops. The kitchen supplies were good and the welcome treat basket a nice touch. Plentiful, comfortable seating. Beds very comfortable. Bathrooms clean and supplied with products. Bathrobes available. It was great to have Wifi access and free use of the phone to call home. Another plus was the wash machine/drier.
