About the home

Ideally located, a unique apartment in a very peaceful neighborhood. It was fully renovated in 2010. It is furnished and fully equipped. Very modern decorated. It is in the fifth of a five floor building. There are two bedrooms with queen double beds and two bathrooms. There is jacuzzi in the main bathroom and hydromassage tower in the second one. The kitchen is fully equiped with oven,microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer and automatic ice maker, cuttlery, dishes and pans, kettle, espresso coffee maker, toaster. Coffee capsules are provided as well. There is also a vacuum cleaner and a laundry machine, a laptop and a PS3 console with games. Two big closets will make your stay more comfortable. Bed linen and towels are provided. The apartment is fully airconditioned. The apartment is very close to a greek traditional taverna, a pharmacy, banks and public transport.

The nearest beach is only 2 km away. Only 200 m away from the apartment , there are bus stations from where you can take a bus to the city centre and reach it in less than 10 minutes, to the southern or nothern suburbs. The nearest beach is located 2km away from the apartment and it takes only 10 minutes to reach it by bus.

Only 200 m. from the apartment there is a big grocery store and a bakery .In the ground floor of the building, there is a pharmacy. It takes less than 10 minutes to go to the shopping centre on foot. 300 m from the apartment there is a very nice park which is appropriate for promenades and because of the playground, it is ideal for children. Finally, less than 100 m away from the apartment there are plenty of coffee shops and Greek traditional taverns.

Airport transport or any other trasport is available upon demand at an additional but very reasonable cost, significantly less than a taxi.

There is also home theater, a Sony play station 2. There are 2 TVs, one 40'' LCD in the living-room and one 32" LCD in the master bedroom. There is also a closet only for shoes. The shutters in a every balcony door are electrics. There is a security alarm and the main door to the apartment is shielded. The balcony goes all around the apartment.

The Attica region

The climate of Attica and especially in south suburbs, where the apartment is located, is very warm and dry. The weather most of the year is mild. Swimming is possible because of the weather from April to November. There are many places of archaeological interest in whole Attica region , where was the land of ancient Athenians. A very nice place to visit is Cape Sounio.

The Athens / Nea Smurni area

There are many museums in Athens. Acropolis with Parthenon is one of the best tourist attractions. There are many beaches especially in south suburbs of Athens. Amazing nightlife all year. Nea Smuni has a very nice square with many shops only for pedestrians.

“Luxury apartment in a good area” This apartment was comfortable, looked good and had every possible convienience. It is in a good area with excellent bakery round the corner and transport nearby. The whole apartment is perfect for a stay in Athens and I will certainly book this again when in Athens. The owner is very helpful and friendly.

“A very memorable stay in Athens” An absolutely wonderful stay in Greece, George is a fantastic host who kindly came and picked us up from the airport and drove us to the apartment at a small cost. The apartment was shared between the five of us and was lovely just like in the photos! There were a few restaurants and shops near by, and it was very close to the bus station- overall very convenient for everything! I would definately recommend anyone to stay at this apartment, George was also very helpful and would help us with absolutely anything. Thats including recommending and taking us to bars/clubs, and sorting out problems with the internet at the apartment at 10 in the evening! Will definately stay at this apartment again in the future if we were to return for a visit :)

“Great city. Fantastic apartment. Even better Owner/Support” We stayed for a week in October for a family sight seeing holiday in Athens with our two kids aged 11 and 7. George (the owner) met us at the apartment when we arrived, showed us round and then later that evening called to tell us that the Acroplois was going to free the following day - a tip that saved us €35. The apartment was great, really nicely fitted out and with everything you needed. What was a nice touch were things like coffee and washing powder which you didn't have to go and buy. The location was great being between Athens centre and Pireaus and it was quick to drive to any of the attractions. On this point I would recommend a car as while you can get trams/buses etc it was so much easier with a car to get about (with satnav!) and we always seemed to find parking in the centre despite it looking very busy. Driving is a bit crazy but I guess it's what you are used to and you soon learn to go with the flow and it's fine. Beyond the obvious sights to see we loved Lake Vouliagmeni and the little beach almost opposite the entrance to it. Sounion temple is worth the drive and the old olympic stadium was far more impressive than expected and begs you to do a lap. We did have some bad luck in that someone smashed into our parked car near the apartment while we were out at a restaurant. When we returned to the car a neighbour who saw the incident shouted to us us to give us the details of the person who crashed into it. What a nice man for going out of his way to help us. He lives opposite on the 3rd floor so look out for him on the balcony and smile/wave. That evening we called George to ask for some help and the following morning he came round and called the person who crashed into us and then the car hire company. george stayed with us while the tow truck came to fetch the car and then gave us a ride into Athens to get a replacement car. To have a local talking to to a local always helps and we were in a replacement car by lunch time and I very much doubt we could have sorted it all out ourselves and so quickly It's when things go a little wrong that you really appreciate some help and in our case George went well beyond what anyone could expect in helping us out and for that we remain very grateful. It's funny how you base your perceptions of a country on the people you meet and how they treat you and in our case Greece has a couple of fine ambassadors in the form of George and the old man opposite the apartment who took the trouble to help us out. Athens is a great and amazing city to visit. George's apartment is nicely located and well fitted out and you have the comfort that in the unlikely event that something goes wrong there is someone who can help you out a little. Finally Greece is getting a lot of bad press right now over the economy and while there are genuine issues you do not feel or sense these affecting you as you go about a bit of tourism. We saw or sensed no trouble at all and only met friendly locals going about their business. Fond memories. Thank You George

“Great weekend in Greece” We loved our three day Greece weekend. In three days we were able to see much of Athens, Poisiden's temple and spend one day on a nearby Greek Island Our apartment rental was centrally located and made it easy to access all the locations. The apartment was nice and easily held our family of 6. George and Andrea's private tour to Poisden's temple was an amazing trip with a brilliant sunset. They also took us to an amazing Greek restaurant. George also provided airport transportation which worked out very well. We had an excellent weekend, that was very affordable.

“fabulous accommodation” This accommodation is fabulous. Immaculate, comfortable with everything you could need. 10 minute walk from trams,(which are great ) - 10 mins to the center of Athens and not much longer in the opposite direction to the beach. Supermarket couple of minutes down the road. Lovely traverna just across the road and another next to supermarket. George is an absolute star will advise and help in any way he can, if necessary. This is a perfect base to explore Athens and surrounding area. We highly recommend this property, we will return!

“Highly recommended” The apartment is in a very nice residential area, we felt like locals with going to the supermarket, tavernas, shops and bars! It took us a few days to find out way around but we very quickly felt comfortable and would definitely return. Every day we would go a different direct and find somewhere else which was nice and importantly safe (just like the rest of Athens in our experience). The flat itself is exactly as described/pictured, with two very comfortable rooms and a pleasant open-plan living room. All of the furnishings are in a good state, as are the electrical devices. One bonus has to be George the owner. He very kindly picked us up at the airport (small charge, compared to others) I also had business to do while in Athens and he also helped me with this. Having the internet in the property with use of his laptop and free Wi-Fi really was a big bonus for me. George was always at hand guiding us to good areas, restaurants and would even phone the local take away for our snack one night! Any time I text/called him he was at hand… huge bonus in my view!

“Great choice suited us perfectly” My husband and I thouroughly enjoyed out stay at the apartment. To be honest at first I was a bit unsure as I wanted the luxury of a hotel, bit of pampering! However, proved wrong. As the apartment is in a very nice residential area we felt like locals with going to the supermarket, tavernas, shops and bars! It took us a few days to find out way around but we very quickly felt comfortable and would definitely return. Every day we would go a different direct and find somewhere else which was nice and importantly safe (just like the rest of Athens in our experience) One bonus has to be George the owner. He very kindly picked us up at the airport (small charge, compared to others) we also had business to do while in the country and he also helped us with this also. Having the internet in the property with use of his laptop and free Wi-Fi really was a big bonus for us keeping in touch with family etc. George was always at hand guiding us to good areas, restaurants and would even phone the local take away for our snack one night! Any time I text/called him he was at hand… huge bonus in my view! While we were in Athens we visited the gorgeous island of Hydra for two nights and on our return we looked forward to getting back to our apartment. One other big advantage is….don't take any toiletries there is enough to sell some!! The appliances in the kitchen are fantastic and the use of a great espresso machine was one of my husband's favourites! We also watched some movies which are in English or you can take along some DVD's. Transport links are good – Taxi at the bottom of the road as well as tram and buses (open top tour bus only 5/10 min walk) Would be happy to answer any questions on the apartment you have directly Thanks
