In Assisi`s Hills, between forests, rivers and medieval towns the time stopped: we can discover again the old farm with its typical products of agriculture. Re Artù transformed old farmhouses into splendid independent apartments, with wonderful garden and swimming pools where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of Assisi.

This is the ideal place to forget the everyday stress. We give you this wonderful opportunity to enjoy the magical word of the countryside of Assisi and its surrounding area. You can take advantage of guided tours of local medieval town, go to the famous "Festival dei Due Mondi" in Spoleto, the International Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia or chamber concerts. For the more adventurous there are mountain bikes and trekking. You can also walk in the steps of St Francis, as the footpath from Assisi to Gubbio passes through our grounds. We can also organise guided day trip to other areas such as Mount Subasio.

The Umbria region

Assisi preserves historical treasures of special historical interest, both Graeco-Roman and medieval: the Temple of Minerva in the Piazza del Comune, a marvellous example of an old Greek temple in Corinthian and Hellenistic style, the Museum of the Roman Forum, the Amphitheatre, the Monte Frumentario; but also the Palazzo del Podestà, the Torre del Popolo, the Municipal Picture Gallery and the Rocca Maggiore, scene of wars between Perugia and Assisi.

The «Calendimaggio» festival, which recalls medieval traditions linked to the beginning of Spring, is celebrated with representations, costumes and music of the time.

Perugia: UMBRIA JAZZ FESTIVAL IN JULY.
Spoleto: 2 MONDI FESTIVAL IN JULY.

Other places to visit close to Umbria: Rome 2 hrs by car, Firenze 2 hrs by car. Lake Trasimeno 40mins by car.
