Set in the heart of Ruby country (so called after the Ruby Red cattle farmed locally), Blagdon Farm is only a few minutes from the wide sandy North Devon beaches at Bude and Widemouth Bay, the stunning Cornish resorts of Boscastle and Padstow (home to Rick Stein's famous seafood restaurant), and the spectacular scenery of Dartmoor and Exmoor. The ancient port of Clovelly and historic Tintagel Castle are close by and the attractions of the Eden Project, the Tate St. Ives, and RHS Rosemoor Gardens are all within easy reach.
The bright lights of Launceston with its ancient castle, steam railway and bustling shopping centre is just 10 miles away. Here you will find Tescos, a retail park and many local shops. The pretty market town of Holsworthy is just 5 miles away where you will find crafts, excellent local produce and there is a market every Wednesday.

Blagdon is situated close to the border between Devon and Cornwall – so you can enjoy the natural landscapes of both areas as well as a wide variety of local attractions.
There are wide sandy beaches and good surfing at Widemouth Bay, Bude, Westward Ho!, Northam and Saunton Sands. Enjoy the breathtaking landscape of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor, or meander along our wonderful rivers – the Tamar, the Taw, the Torridge, and the Carey.
Blagdon is also close to Roadford Reservoir and Tamar Lakes, both managed by the South West Lakes Trust. Here you will find a variety of activities, from dinghy sailing and windsurfing to kayacking.
We are spoilt for choice when it comes to Angling - whether it's coarse, sea or fly fishing there are lots of places nearby. The area is criss-crossed by a network of cycle paths and there are lots of accessible pathways for those with less mobility.
Attractions within a 25 mile radius include:

North Cornwall coast including Padstow and Port Isaac.
The magnificent moors of Dartmoor to the East, Exmoor to the North and Bodmin Moor to the West.
