This pretty cottage is set in a lovely position in the heart of the country surrounded by fields and with a good sized garden that surrounds the house.
There are excellent walks including the Pilgrim’s Way locally with a selection of country pubs close by to visit.

The cottage has lots of original features and charm and has been really prettily furnished with wrought iron beds, beautiful linen and pretty prints that set the scene for this charming cottage. The cosy rooms have been furnished to a high standard and have lovely views in all directions.

There is a good sized garden with lots of room to play or sit and enjoy a drink and a barbecue on warm sunny days.

A truly English country cottage in a lovely rural position, close to amenities ideal for a holiday or for a weekend break!

Ashford / Charing area

Charing village is within a mile of the cottage and has a good range of shops including a butcher, florist, general stores and lovely tearoom. There are wonderful walks, both Woodland Trust properties and across the surrounding countryside with several country pubs to stop off at on the way.

The cottage is really well placed for day trips with the Cathedral City of Canterbury within 10 miles away with its lovely medieval streets, boutiques and coffee shops making a truly interesting day out. The beautiful moated Leeds Castle is fifteen minutes away and is well worth a visit. The pretty villages of Chilham and Sissinghurst with its famous garden are within 30 minutes drive. There are several good restaurants locally and Michelin starred ones in nearby Cranbrook, Faversham and Biddenden. With the Channel Tunnel only 35 minutes away there is really easy access to France with several crossing an hour taking just 35 minutes – so don’t forget your passport!

The nearest beach is at Whitstable, with its famous oyster bars, working harbour and trendy shops. There are a good range of golf courses, riding schools and fishing lakes all within easy reach, please visit our ‘things to do’ section of the website for exact locations and lots more ideas.

The cottage is approached from the side through the cottage gardens down a step into the hallway with radiator and ample space for coats and boots. From the hallway there is a downstairs bathroom with bath and hand held shower, wc, basin and radiator and a small children’s playroom, with toys and games.

The cosy dining room has an antique pine dresser with pretty period china, table, chairs and radiator. The sitting room has two sofas, coffee table, antique corner cupboard, radiator, log burning stove, garden door, TV, DVD, video and Freeview.

The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, extractor fan and flatscreen TV.

The stairs lead from the dining room to the first floor where there are two double bedrooms, one with en suite shower room and a single room. The main bedroom has a wrought iron bed, fitted cupboard, chest of drawers, radiator and door to en suite shower room with shower, wc and basin. The second bedroom has two single beds (which can be used as twin beds or as a double), chest of drawers and fitted cupboard and a lovely wooden cotbed (which will sleep a child up to 5 years old). The third bedroom has a single bed with chest of drawers.

Outside there is a good sized garden with chairs, table and barbeque and several parking spaces on the gravel driveway.
