With it's famous landmark , the 1000 year old stone Round Tower built by the monks of St. Kevin's monastery. All surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the valley , lakes & forests , with great hill walks or just an easy lakeside stroll .

Powercourt House and Gardens – Powerscourt , Enniskerry , also situated in co. Wicklow " the Garden of Ireland " , it is about 30 mins away . The fabulous gardens with , lake & fountain & antique sculptures. With an excellent restaurant , interior design , clothes , craft & bookshop. Powerscourt waterfall, the highest is also well worth a visit, with great river & woodland walks .
Enniskerry village , a pretty Estate village with interesting craft shops & Poppies famous coffee shop .

Ashford Village & Mount Usher Gardens – Less than 10 minutes away , this wonderful romantic Robinsonian garden is laid out along banks of the Vartry river, with a diverse collection of Trees and shrubs that have been brought back from all parts of the globe & are planted in a woodland setting . Famous for spectacular Rhododendrons & azaleas in Spring, with pretty woodland & riverbank walks & lunch or tea at the new Avoca cafe restaurant or just browse in the shopping courtyard .

Bray & Kilruddery House & Gardens – is 25 minutes away , beautiful gardens & stately home , with special music evenings throughout the summer . The seaside town of Bray has a long promenade & good shopping .

Also For garden lovers , The Wicklow County Gardens Festival runs every year rom May to August . During this time, there are hundreds of public & private gardens open to view .

Avondale House & Forest Park - About 15 miutes away is the ancestrial home of Charles Stewart Parnell , with forest walks , cafe & the pretty village of Rathdrum .

Blessington Lakes & Russborough House - About 1 hours drive is Blessington , another interesting village with stunning lake backdrop , Russborough house is well worth a visit & is home of the Beit Art Collection .

Wicklow Town – a pretty habour town with attractive mainstreet & good shopping – is about 5 minutes away .
